Okay, there may be seven heats left to go at Rye House tonight, but with the Rockets leading 36-12 on the night and 78-63 on aggregate, there seems no way back for the Yorkshire Tigers, so it looks like Uncle Len's Rockets are Premier League champions for 2007. Congratulations to Rye House.

In fact, it ended up being truly embarrassing, with Rye House romping home 69-23 on the night and 111-74 on aggregate. I mean, Jesus wept, Berwick would've scored more than that. But, Berwick have the Weirdity and Sheffield don't.

But, Berwick have the Weirdity and Sheffield don't. That's shocking . The decider of the league title and we get such a one-sided match . Sheffield riders should be ashamed of themselves . Bin these play-offs now . Kings Lynn topped the league and should be the champions . Rye House only qualified because of their huge home advantage giving them 13 out of 14 bonus points . They only won 3 away matches all season - christ they even lost at Edinburgh and Berwick . But you have to fancy them in a two-legged tie with the home advantage they have , but are they worthy champions ? I think not .

Yes the play-offs are a farce. As long as we have this system for deciding the league, the teams with massive home track advantage will always be winners.

At least Sheffield can't blame the Chapman's for that "performance"

I've heard Rye have named their team for next year already . I understand it's Woffinden , Neath , Ekberg , Tommy Allen , Bowen , Mear and Betson . Is this correct .

Wouldn't be a surprise - Len Silver's a canny operator and doesn't hang about. I'd heard Boxall wasn't likely to be a Rocket - I guess he'll be Elite League.
