Amazing news just in...Manu Hauzinger will ride at the Dale on Friday ;D Now I wonder who it was that spun the broken collar bone story ...the rider himself or Mr Waite ;D Either way it will be good to see a full Berwick team declared and activated at the Dale on Friday. I still go for a Monarchs win though

I still go for a Monarchs win though Should be a comfortable win for the Monarchs, but the Bandits have been impressive away from home so far this season.

Hauzinger defies medical science then . Hmmmmmm we'll see . And he's even turned up. In fact, according to JDC, who should know, Hauzinger arrived at Armadale shortly after 11:00 this morning.

And a convincing win for the Monarchs (56:35). But still a better than average performance from the Bandits, although no doubt assisted by an engine failure for Lawson in Ht 14. Another sterling show from Rymel, who received solid support from Makovsky and occasional support from Magosi. But what on earth were the Bandits playing at in Ht 8, when McKinna passed team mate Magosi, who was wearing black and white. With a Monarch (Tully) excluded, the Bandits could've had a heat advantage if McKinna had stayed behind Magosi.

With a Monarch (Tully) excluded, the Bandits could've had a heat advantage if McKinna had stayed behind Magosi. They did get a heat advantage, my ancient warrior friend. They took a 3-4 from the heat. To be fair it didn't make a whit of difference. McKinna was fast improving all night - it's the best I've seen him ride in the three Berwick matches I've seen this season. In the heat Magosi got slower and slower and Mckinna obviously got fed up having to match his 'lack of speed' so passed the Hungarian in impressive style. Instead of the criticism Adam's been getting for this sheer act of heresy, He should be getting praised for the way he rode last night - fast, confident, and with stamina (he had to take seven rides and looked a damn sight fitter than Bela Lugosi). His outside pass of his team mate was well executed; having passed him he left him miles behind. Lugosi is a real enigma. When he gates he looks fast, stylish and determined. When he doesn't he looks disinterested and frankly pretty woeful at times. Berwick rode well last night and were worth more than they scored. Makovsky had plenty of speed but little knowhow of how to pass on the Armadale track. But what can be said about Hauzinger? Here's a guy who reportedly turned up some 6 or more hours before the meeting was due to start then came out for his first race only to travel about 50 metres or so before pulling up with a sore shoulder and withdrawing from the meeting before even turning the first corner. Cynical, moi?? No not me!!

I have never been to a meeting that was soooooooooooooooooooo cold as last night. Even Dick Barrie said it was colder than Berwick has ever been.
The Monarchs did what they had to do without busting a gut.
Ryan Fisher - for the second time in two home matches was involved in the race of the night in heat 15. Fast and controlled. Derek Sneddon - again did a captain's job and has started the season well. Thomas H Jonasson - good to see Thomas getting on the scoresheet and completing the meeting without mechanical problems. Showed yet again some flashes of what he is capable of but still has trouble on that first bend. William Laswon - Once again very fast, smooth and stylish until an ignition problem robbed him of a maximum. Matthew Wethers - had a bit of an up and down night. Was caught out in heat 7 when he saw red lights on a van reversing in the pits which he thought were the stop lights. I think it was the ambulance taking Frachetti away. Aaron Summers - a fine display from the youngster. Andrew Tully - again threw a few points away when falling but was all action and never gave up.
Berwick were better visitors than in the past even with just five riders and helped produce some good races.
Adrian Rymel - the best I have seen him at the Dale. Gugliemo Franchetti - was unfortunately injured in the first race before we could see what he was capable of. Michal Makovsky - another one who had an improved Dale performance. Gave Ryan Fisher a cracker of a race in heat 15. Tero Aarnio - showed nothing until heat 14 when he popped out the gate for a paid win. Mauel Hauzinger - no idea what is going on here. Is he injured or was he pressurised to appear for the Bandits? Norbert Magosi - looked fast and stylish when he gated but was not impressive if he didn't get out in front. Adam McKinna - improved as the meeting went on. Had some good races and in heat 8 Magosi was going so slow I think Adam overtook him in sheer frustration.
Not as bad a night's racing as falkirkbandit on the BSFwill have you believe. Edinburgh have faced two of the supposed weakest teams in the league and will have far harder matches starting with Workington next Friday. Then we shall see just how we are shaping up.

I don't think Workington will give you too much trouble, young lady. They hardly deserved their win in the cruel, crazy town tonight - a draw would've been a fairer result. Once you get beyond their top three, there isn't much and the "Scud" won't be as effective around Armadale as he was around Shielfield Park. And Stonehewer's not the force he once was - the "Grand Monarch" had to give him three goes in Ht 7 to get the better of Magosi.

If Scud turns up to Armadale that is a miracle on its own..
Guarantee that he will only have three rides if he does!!

If Scud turns up to Armadale that is a miracle on its own.. And if he manages to turn left when he's supposed to, it'll be another one - he doesn't look to have a style suited a tight track like Armadale. Edit: Still, he obviously enjoyed his return to Shielfield Park and received a great reception from the crowd.

One of the most woeful visitors ever to turn up (occasionally) at Armadale.
