He also graced the stripes of Glasgow Tigers as well . But it is sad news . I spoke with him at Glasgow at the Centenary meeting in September 2006 and he looked to be really enjoying himself being back in Scotland . I asked him what the S stood for in Oyvind S Berg , to which he replied " super " . He was a heat-leader for the Tigers at Hampden when i was a laddie . A true Tigers great .

Bit of a booboo in the article as Berg's last British club was Poole in 1974.

Oyvind Berg along with Reidar Eide was one of my most favourite of riders. Sad news and only 64
