Okay, who braved the midnight crush and bought the seventh and final book in the Harry Potter saga?

Not at midnight but got it this morning. Currently at page 166 but I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't post about it.

"... and forced to eat his own severed bollocks, Harry Potter died in horrible agony. THE END".
All the best Rob

Got ours delivered from Amazon first thing this morning. Since we can never agree who should get first crack, I'll solve the problem by reading aloud to the family!!

Am I the only person who has never read a Parry Hotter book or seen one of the films?

I got mine first thing this morning in the post from Amazon too, which was a huge relief as our Royal Mail has been on strike since Monday and its rumoured to last another fortnight, so I was quite expecting to go out and buy one this afternoon (if there were any left on the shelves!).
I haven't even started mine yet (ok, I read the first page only) as I've decided I need to re-read the last chapter of book 6 first as a refresher. Just need to avoid the telly, radio and certain places on the internet now until I've finished Harry Potter so I don't find out what happens accidentally.

I was thinking of queing up for a copy of the book dressed as a wizard's sleeve, but I was worried I'd look like a flapperjack.

Am I the only person who has never read a Parry Hotter book or seen one of the films? Nope. Flicked through the channels and found the first film on once, about halfway through. Watched it for a bit, thought "what a load of bollocks!" and switched over. Now if any of the films had a cameo by Chas & Dave or the Chuckle Brothers, then that would make me watch. All the best Rob

Spent most of last night winding up someone I work with with one word after reading the end of the book... the end made absolutely no sense to me having got firmly stuck on book 4 all those years ago....
Made the night go quicker tho knowing that i've managed to convince him that he now thinks he knows the ending.... tee hee
Not sure if he'll more dissappointed with the real ending or not!
What worried me more wasn't the fact that people we're willing to queue at midnight to get their hands on a coveted copy but some of them were then videoing their friends and families on mobile phones queuing/buying the book! Takes all sorts!
by the way... they all live happily ever after....... or do they!?!?
Don't worry I have NO idea what actually happens!!!!

I took the kids to see "the order of the Phoenix" it was probably the weakest of all the films though, lets hope the next one is better

At the risk of spoiling it for you all, the last line of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is:
"It was the butler wot done it"

Just watched that Harry Potter film, but it's pretty unrealistic, I mean... a ginger kid with two friends.

I was worried I'd look like a flapperjack. Didn't take long for this site to start being censored did it. BSF - pot - kettle

We censor one word here. And if you use it often enough the filter seems to overload and stops censoring.
