It was just a kneejerk reaction to a Monarch gracing the world stage . I am sure that sentence would look better finishing off with "yet another Monarch gracing the world stage" ;D I think I'll stop now or you'll have me going back in time and bringing up previous world champions. Rico

Wasn't Egon Muller a one-time Heathen Tiger?

Laukkanen was fucking awful at the top level with Belle Vue, that's why he's slumming it in the West Lothian badlands these days. Aye - you must have been a great loss to the Diplomatic service, your jealousness!

Aye - you must have been a great loss to the Diplomatic service, your jealousness! Don't get me wrong, it looked for a while as if he might face a fate worse that Edinburgh: a stint with the cruel, crazy town. I understand the Waite had a sniff around Laukkanen.

Still it doesn't seem to stop you coming to the West Lothian badlands for your Friday dose of racing. Must be the company??

According to Who's who,he did 2 meetings in 73 and got a single point from them.Have no idea where they were.Could always ask him next time i see him,but kevh would probably know better

Of course you are correct , my apologies . It was just a kneejerk reaction to a Monarch gracing the world stage . Not the first time though. Jack Young won the World Championship in 1951 (and 1952) while still a Monarchs' rider and Edinburgh were in the second division then too. So we do have some pedigree when it comes to World Championships even if it was some time ago. No second division by whatever fancy name it's given has ever done likewise.

Kyle Legault confirmed as guest replacement for Laukkanen for the Monarchs on Saturday. That'll please Dekker.

And it seems that the Monarchs will have to do without Laukkanen again this Friday, as he seems to have been called up to replace PK, who in turn was replacing Hampel, in this weekend's Latvian GP.

Yes that's true. Jason Lyons guests once again for us on Friday. Or so you thought . Seems there was a wee problem over averages and Jason can no longer be used . And the guest is - none other than the weirdity himself . Doesn't much like Armadale though
