Edinburgh's No 1 Theo Pijper, upset at alleged booing of the Monarchs following their hapless display on the Isle of Wight on Tuesday, seems to have issued a challenge to the "boo boys": put up, or shut up. Yes, according to a report by David Kinvig in the Edinburgh Evening News, Pijper doesn't want a football match between supporters and riders, but a speedway meeting. Pijper is quoted as saying: "...we should arrange a speedway meeting [between riders and supporters] and see who is laughing then." I'll be ready for Desperate Deek in HT 1 . Neck and neck going down the back straight - just after Ronnie sheds a chain .

"...we should arrange a speedway meeting [between riders and supporters] and see who is laughing then." Aaaaaaaaggggghhhhhhh!!!!!! Nothing pisses me off more than having someone tell me that I can't criticise a speedway rider if I can't do it better myself!! Despite being unable to perform a task myself, does that really mean that I am not able to criticise a badly done job when I see one? If that's the case, I owe an appology to many incompetant "professionals"!

If i go to my place of employment and turn in a sub-standard performance i could not complain if i got my arse kicked by all and sundry . Speedway riders should be no different .

Pffffft!!!! I've never received boos and jeers at my workplace. I figure that makes a challenge against the Monarchs beneath me!
