Could there be a new American on there way to barren, baltic, west lothian wasteland? He did say he was not coming to the cruel, crazy, town tho.

Well, I don't think Mr Correy has impressed too many people in the heathen capital. Apparently, he now says his bikes aren't "strong enough" for Armadale, which is hardly a power circuit, is it? I really don't think Pijper was a solution to Edinburgh's team conundrum either.

We're not going to have to barge past Mr Fisher to get to the bar when we go to Armadale are we ? Think after tonights debacle on the island a few arses will be out the door - which is a shame . ;D

And not a race winner all night. Oh dear. That win at Newport, largely due to a non-Edinburgh rider being amongst their ranks, must seem a very long way away now. Only a couple of points for Correy and the obligatory engine failure. He's been a huge disappointment for Edinburgh. Fuck me. Four maximum men for the Islanders - must've been a fight for places in Ht 15.

Not the high scoring number one rider they were craving . Watto's guesting for Birmingham against them tomorrow night - more of the same please . But as long as Watto stays out of Desperate Deek's way tomorrow and gets to Redcar safe and sound on Thursday .

Just popped over to the old Monarchs Chatzone - they're not happy bunnies. Better be an improvement tomorrow, or JDC could be facing a lynch mob on Friday.

Sniggering aside . While it's good to see my old enemies get a spanking every now and again , the consequences of this debacle will be interesting . Cant see Correy lasting much longer , they jump on Moller at the drop of a hat and Pijper has been a big disappointment on his return . Desperate Deek , Wethers and Tully look fireproof while the wee Italian bloke should soon be back after injury . Fisher seems to be looking to ride PL , but i wouldn't think the West Lothian trick track would be his cup of tea . But the one name hovering in the background that fills me with a bit of concern is ..........George Stancl . The thought of George ( regardless of how it finished up at Ashfield ) in the Blue and Gold of the Moanarchs doesn't bear thinking about .

You think last night might be the laxative that get's the Monarchs' constipated bowels moving again? I mean JDC and his buddies at Armadale aren't generally chop and change merchants, perhaps seeing it as slightly beneath their regal status. That sort of thing is better left to those unsavoury Bandits down the road.

Yes they do tend to look down on us seemingly lesser mortals with a bit of distain . And the sanctamonious twaddle some of their supporters trawl out on a regular basis can make difficult reading . Personally i hope they carry on with what they've got . ;D

But, as Edward I, Hammer of the Scots, famously declared as he cast aside the Scottish seal, "a man does good business when he rids himself of a turd". And there's no doubt, a few turds need to be dumped from the body of the Monarchs.

As you say, "JDC and his buddies" certainly are not chop and change merchants, and I think they are all the more respected for that. However, that doesn't mean that they don't make changes when they are warranted and viable. They have proved over their many years that they are happy to swing the axe. I'm pretty sure that there will be changes at the Dale soon....but I would hope that they go in another direction entirely than America! Much as the Americans may have been the great entertainers in the 1980's, only Billy Hamill of those who arrived latterly has managed to carry that torch. All the rest have been poor imitations. Correy has delivered everything that I expected of him (and that aint a good thing) while Fisher doesn't even register on my radar of worthy signings.
