You had to feel for the Bandits today . Anything that could go wrong did go wrong . Already under-strength they lost Kus , victim of a hard first bend , with concussion . Burza looped through the tapes in one race , then suffered a broken toe in HT15 . Rempala was excluded in one race after suffering mechanical problems at the tapes - so all in all it was a difficult afternoon for them . Glasgow only really had to go through the motions to win easily , with Shane Parker scoring the easiest 15 point maximum of his career . All the Tigers got amongst the points and had the luxury to give their number 8 , Gary Beaton , 4 rides . But at least it gave me the chance to spend the afternoon in good company , so it was an enjoyable afternoon from that point of view .

Reports in this morning's newspaper suggested that surgeons were trying to save Burza's toe last night . Just goes from bad to worse for Peter Waite this season . Well my old mongol mate how did you enjoy your first visit to the Messiahdome ?

Reports in this morning's newspaper suggested that surgeons were trying to save Burza's toe last night . Just goes from bad to worse for Peter Waite this season . Well my old mongol mate how did you enjoy your first visit to the Messiahdome ? A very pleasant afternoon watching the Weirdity in action and some reasonable racing, albeit for minor placings. You have to feel ever so slightly sorry for Martin, who put everything he had into seven rides and only got a point - he deserved much more, but you don't get points for effort.
