From the SGB website: ::::: SEVEN British Champions from the 2016 season are set to appear in a Celebration of British Youth Speedway this Saturday.
Senior champion Danny King, U21 and U19 winners Josh Bates and Max Clegg, and Youth champions Kyle Bickley, Leon Flint, Nathan Ablitt and Dan Thompson have all been invited and are expected to be in attendance with their trophies at the Brandon Club, Coventry (Jan 14, 7pm).
Steve Brandon will be hosting the event, which is run by British Youth series sponsors Nuneaton Speedway Supporters’ Club.
Youth chief Neil Vatcher said: “There will be presentations and interviews through the night.
“As well as the seven British Champions, there will be a number of stars from the British Youth Championship also in attendance, along with the Young Lions Management and a number of Youth sponsors.
“All proceeds from the evening get put back into British Youth Speedway, so definitely not a night to be missed if you’re in the area.”Attachments:

From the SGB website: :::::::: THE British Youth Championship has gained new backers in the form of APT Car Sales of Bournemouth.
Preparations are being put in place for the 2017 series, which is set to run over eight rounds once more, with dates and venues to be confirmed in the near future.
British Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “It is always a special feeling when new people come on board to support the British Youth, and Mr Ian Loder of APT who has a long association of speedway sponsorship - mostly at Poole and the Isle of Wight - will now be part of the Young Lions set-up.
“It is an exciting time of the year as we all looking forward to the new season, and as with all our other series sponsors it is a pleasure to have APT joining us for what will hopefully be another successful season for everyone connected with the Young Lions.”

THE achievements of the sport’s rising stars were hailed at a ‘Celebration of British Speedway’ night held by the Young Lions management on Saturday.
Over 100 people attended the event at the Nuneaton Speedway Supporters Club’s regular Brandon Club venue, including six of the seven British Champions from 2016.
British Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “Saturday was yet another first for the Young Lions to organise such an amazing and enjoyable evening.
“We would like to thank the members of the Nuneaton Supporters Club for hosting us, and also to Brando (Steve Brandon) for doing such a great job on the mic, and to all the riders and supporters who came along.
“Thoughts are already in place on how we do it bigger and better next year… perhaps we might think about organising a Big Awards night involving all of British Speedway with the proceeds going back to supporting the British Youth!”Attachments:

From the SGB website: ::::::: THE schedule has been announced for the 2017 British Youth Championship.
Early rounds at Peterborough and Scunthorpe are split into two stagings according to category, and the entire series will be run over eight rounds with the date and venue for the finale to be confirmed.
Round 1: Peterborough, Sunday April 9 (500cc/250cc), Sunday April 16 (150cc/125cc)
Round 2: Scunthorpe, Sunday April 30 (150cc/125cc), Monday May 29 (500cc/250cc)
Round 3: King’s Lynn, Sunday May 14
Round 4: Rye House, Sunday June 11
Round 5: Leicester, Sunday July 9
Round 6: Redcar, Saturday July 15
Round 7: Glasgow, Saturday August 19
Round 8: Date and venue TBC.
The Young Lions would like to thank all the clubs for agreeing to host a British Youth Round in 2017, and all of the series sponsors for their continued support.
