As currently on Speedway SGB:
POOLE team manager Neil Middleditch has agreed to put in a special appearance for the club’s Riders’ Equipment Fund as an exclusive fundraiser for the Darcy Ward Foundation.
Middleditch will be joined by Pirates star Davey Watt on Wednesday February 10 in the main stand at Poole Stadium to open up to fans about all things speedway with all proceeds going to Ward’s rehabilitation.
Host Nigel Leahy said: “It’s going to be quite a night. Middlo is up for it as a fundraiser for Darcy and has promised a no-holds-barred and frank discussion with plenty of talking points.
“I aim to get lots of the stuff that people don’t readily hear and to get Neil’s unique take on things. We will also be checking out the latest news on Darcy as he settles in back home, and the evening will close with an open session where people can put their own questions to Middlo.”
Admission to the event is £8 per person as a suggested minimum fee; however, as a fundraiser, organisers are appealing for people to donate more if they would like or are able.Attachments:

From the SGB website: :::::: POOLE co-promoter Gordon Pairman has again stepped forward to support the British riders in the World Under-21 Final.
Adam Ellis, Josh Bates and Robert Lambert have all made it into the three-round series which gets underway at King’s Lynn on June 18, and Pairman’s sponsorship package will ensure all three permanent British riders are supplied with tyres for each meeting.
GB Youth boss Neil Vatcher said: “Mr Pairman’s offer of this sponsorship to the riders is invaluable help to each of them, and his generosity is greatly appreciated.
“Mr Pairman has been a constant help to both myself and the Under-21 riders for a number of years now, and with his support as well all our other sponsors the success of British Speedway is definitely on the way up.”

From the SGB website:: ::::::: EUROPEAN Grasstrack Champion James Shanes will line up for his local team Poole in the 2017 SGB Premiership.
19-year-old Shanes has impressed at National League level for parent club Kent in recent seasons and now steps into the top flight for the first time on a two-point average.
Promoter Matt Ford said: “We saw what riding for your local club did for Kyle Newman, and I would like to think that James can develop in a similar fashion. He is a near neighbour of Kyle and I am sure there will be plenty of encouragement for James.
“It is a very big step up for him and rest assured there will be no pressure on him. By taking advantage of the sub three-point figure it does allow more scope at the higher end of the team and I believe that the other six riders will be able to carry James if they need to.
“In saying that however, James is a very determined individual as he showed in last season's Premier league play-off when he guested for Somerset. The reports I had back about him were encouraging and I know he will be keen to rise to the challenge for us.”

From the SGB website:: ::::::: FORMER World No.2 Krzysztof Kasprzak will resume his Poole career in the 2017 SGP Premiership campaign.
Polish star Kasprzak, who last rode for the Pirates in 2012, returns to Wimborne Road on an 11.07 average after being with Coventry this year.
Poole promoter Matt Ford said: “KK has been the unfortunate victim of both his own and the club's success in past seasons, finding himself in direct competition with the likes of Chris Holder and Darcy Ward as an out-and-out number one.
“Despite his factored average consuming a big chunk of our points, I am really pleased to be able to welcome him back yet again.
“I know for sure that he absolutely revels in riding for Poole as we saw last season when he stepped into the breach for us as a guest against Belle Vue. He was absolutely terrific, delivering an unbeaten showing, and I feel there are plenty of those type of performances still left him in.”

From the SGB website: ::::: POOLE have completed a move for Danish star Nicolai Klindt – a signing promoter Matt Ford hoped to make several years ago.
Klindt is expected to slot in at reserve for the Pirates after captaining Leicester in the Elite League this year, with his former Premier League average of 5.42 with Scunthorpe applying for team building.
Ford said: “I feel this day is long overdue. I first brought Nicolai to the UK for a testimonial meeting before he signed a contract, and he was outstanding. Sadly for us, he chose to sign elsewhere, so jokingly he has some making up to do.
“He has since remained a rider whom I have great admiration for. I have come close on a number of occasions to signing him but this year he is on a bargain average.
“I have belief in his ability to significantly improve on that starting figure and I am delighted to be in a position to bring him to Poole at last.”Attachments:

From the SGB website: ::::: KYLE Newman will return to local club Poole in the 2017 SGB Premiership.
Newman, who has starred for the Pirates mainly in a reserve berth over the last three seasons, has now been named as vice-captain to skipper Hans Andersen.
Promoter Matt Ford said: “It is great to have Kyle back with us yet again. He has certainly matured over the course of the last few years and is most definitely one of the success stories of the draft system.
“Whilst last season he was blighted with illness and injury he still maintained his development as a speedway rider and I have decided to appoint him as vice-captain for the season.
“Under Hans’s wing I believe he will be able to learn more about the role of captain which is great experience for him in the future.”

From the SGB website: POOLE have completed their line-up for the SGB Premiership season by announcing the return of Brady Kurtz. The Australian youngster is set for a second campaign with the Pirates – and promoter Matt Ford believes plenty of improvement remains in him. Ford said: “He was genuinely surprised when I invited him back for he felt that he hadn't done himself justice during 2016 but he, and also myself, firmly believe that he is better than his end-of-season performances. “I have total trust and confidence in him and I think now is the time for him to step forward and make his mark, both for the Pirates and on the international scene. “2017 will be the season that is the turning point for BK and I am delighted to have him back at Wimborne Road, to complete a team that has good potential and development.” Attachments:

Kurtz has been released from hospital with no broken bones but needs further advice on the problem, having come to grief at Kurri-Kurri when his new Pirates team-mate Jack Holder fell in front of him.
Kurtz said: “I am glad to be home although we are still not exactly sure what the problem is.
“I will be seeing a specialist physio in the next few days and hopefully that will sort things out for me.”
