From the SGB website: :: IPSWICH have announced their team for the 2017 SGB Championship season with three members of this year’s side returning.
Skipper Danny King, Nico Covatti and Danyon Hume all have places back with the Witches, whilst Cameron Heeps returns after a year on-loan at Rye House.
The Foxhall club have also pulled off the signings of Rory Schlein, who last rode for them at top-flight level in 2008, whilst former Plymouth captain Kyle Newman makes the move to the Suffolk venue.
Completing the line-up is 19-year-old Connor Mountain, who will make his full debut at Championship level after recovering from a broken back which curtailed his 2016 campaign with Mildenhall in the National League.

From the SGB website: ::: KYLE Newman says his move to Ipswich gives him the perfect opportunity to establish himself as one of the Championship’s top men next year.
Newman has joined the Witches after spending recent seasons with Plymouth, who are hopeful of resuming in the National League under new promotion in 2017.
Newman said: “I'm delighted to link up with Ipswich next season. The side they have put together looks very capable of challenging for silverware next year and hopefully I can help them achieve this.
“I made no secret about how tough last season was. Plymouth had lots of problems and I'm glad to see that they have a future now. I struggled with injury in the early part of last season but by the end I felt I had hit my best form. I just hope I can carry this into next season.
“I feel like I've progressed at Elite League, or Premiership level, but I haven't always been happy with my Premier League form. It's time for me to kick on in the Championship. This is a massive season and I think Ipswich is the perfect fit for me.”

TRACK CHANGES AT IPSWICH
WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 07, 2016
IPSWICH have commenced track work at Foxhall in a bid to provide more entertaining racing next season.
Witches promoter Chris Louis says he has taken inspiration from watching the action at Belle Vue’s National Speedway Stadium, although he admits the two circuits are inherently different.
Louis said: “We’re taking up to two metres off going into both bends but we’re doing it over quite a long distance so the turn into the corner starts much earlier.
“The idea is to physically give the riders more room going into the corner. It also takes out the slight squareness and sharpness once you get there.
“You can’t watch a season of racing at Belle Vue and not think, ‘How can we take some of that back to our track?’ That is what we’ve done really. It won’t be Belle Vue but we are trying to learn a bit from it and put some effort in to improve what we have.”

From the SGB website: ::::
IPSWICH newcomer Kyle Newman hopes his move to Foxhall signals a new start to his career at SGB Championship level.
Newman has joined the Witches after being captain of troubled Plymouth in recent Premier League campaigns, and now wants to benefit from some stability in East Anglia.
He said: “When I knew of Ipswich's interest I knew this would be the right move for me. They are an established club with a proud history and I think I can play a part in bringing success to the club next season.
“From my point of view I think I will benefit from being at a club that has the stability that Ipswich does. I can concentrate fully on my racing and I won't have to worry about off-track issues.
“I would expect to add to my average next season. That's my target at Championship level and if I do I think as a team we can achieve great things.”
