AWESOME ANDERSEN Danish national team skipper Hans Andersen got his 2011 season off to the perfect start by triumphing in the Ben Fund Bonanza at Scunthorpe on Saturday afternoon. The former Grand Prix star finished last in his opening race, but stormed to three straight victories to reach the semi-final. He trapped first to make the last four, before holding off a fierce challenge from Birmingham and Plymouth racer Ben Barker in the final. Barker passed world No.6 Chris Harris in the final to claim second. The Cornish duo qualified directly for the last four after topping the heat scoreboard with 10 points apiece. Poole skipper Davey Watt was fourth after he finished second in the semi ahead of Niels Kristian Iversen and Patrick Hougaard. Oh lordy !!! But on the bright side.......he did turn up !!! Well, that's a matter of opinion Great that so many people turned up yesterday. On the minus side, the racing was poorer than usual at Scunny and it would seem that these new silencers are to blame.

Good day out on the lash though,followed by a good night in the somewhat small bar at the track,but no quiz as promised....meant we had to drink more ;D As for next year Rob,could we have it somewhere closer to home ?
