After everyone did their best to kill off the Han's to Swindon rumour as fantasy and without substance because the clean one is gonna be around for a while yet etc, Adams pops up with that - spooky

Wasn't the plan for Leigh to quit the GP's when he's ready, and then do a season or two in the EL before heading back to Oz?

LEIGH Adams is planning a winter of rest - and then another assault on the World Championship in 2008. The experienced Australian enjoyed his best-ever season in the GP this year, finishing second, but was unable to confirm his definite participation for next year. But Adams now says he is "95 to 99 per cent sure" of returning in 2008 - and he also expects to continue racing for the same three League clubs: Swindon in the UK, Leszno in Poland and Masarna in Sweden.Adams said: "We have the right package almost in place for my last season for sure. But if I win then we would have to reassess things again. "I have always said I would never ride in it to make up the numbers and felt like bailing out this year but it has been a very constructive season for me. "We are still in the process of sorting everything out but we are 95 to 99 per cent sure I will do it again next year." Adams will not ride over the winter and instead may require an operation on his shoulder. He rode whilst below full fitness for the last month of the season after being involved in a spectacular crash with Travis McGowan and Andrew Moore at Reading on the eve of the Elite League play-offs. From www.speedwayworld.tvWell, he's confirmed in Sweden at any rate.

It was a "no brainer" really that Leigh would have another crack at the World Championship. If he'd hung up his kevlars after his best (World Championship) year ever, he'd have spent the rest of his life wondering if he could have achieved it.

Good news for Leigh, from www.swindon-speedway.co.ukWORLD #2 Leigh Adams has confirmed today that he will not need an operation on his injured shoulder after visiting Adelaide's Sports Med.
He explained: 'They poked and prodded and put me through the wringer and all looks like we are back to normal and hopefully, we won't go through that shoulder popping out again.'
Adams had a major crash just prior to returning to Australia, when fellow Mildura rider Travis McGowan fell and Leigh got caught up in the action.
'The shoulder feels really good', said Adams, 'I have been wake-boarding, moto-cross riding and it feels like new again. This summer's rest will be just what I need for a full-on 2008 GP campain.
'I think that next season in the GPs will be a good one again, I have great machines and the reliability was perfect last season (Adams switched from Jawa to Italian GM engines), I just need to make a good start from the first round and continue on how we went at the end of last season and all will be good.'
Leigh will be a guest at Gillman for the Linddales Labour Hire Australian Solo Championship round on 2 January, along with his regular Crew Chief, Tommy Cox, from the UK.

Thank god for that, I think he may have to shoulder a lot this season.
