Witches Call On Kids To Repel Diamonds! The Ipswich Witches are offering free entry to all kids (under 16) who turn up to Foxhall in Halloween fancy dress for next Thursdays Promotion / Relegation Play Off against The Newcastle Diamonds. Each free entry will need to be accompanied by a paying adult and have a promotion voucher from the Evening Star which will also be available outside the turnstiles on the night for those fans that travel from further afield.
Witches Director of Speedway Chris Louis says “We’re the Witches and this is our biggest meeting in the club’s history as we battle to maintain our Elite League status and we have been warned that Newcastle wont be taking this lightly so we need all the help we can get!” “It’s a bit of fun and all the kids who get involved will be invited to the infield at half time for Witches skipper Danny King to pick the top three who will each be receiving a voucher to spend in Toy Attic in Ipswich with the winner also being presented with a Junior Season Ticket for 2011”
So dust off those wands and start practising your spells as we need you all to help us stupefy those Diamonds!!!!!!!! Adults are also welcome to turn up in Halloween attire if they want to join in creating a bewitching atmosphere on the heath…

With only a slim two point advantage from the first leg, Ipswich Witches go into the meeting buoyed by the news that injury victims Chris Slabon and Robert Miskowiak will both be fit to ride. They had also hoped to include Kozza Smith in their lineup but he has now withdrawn following an operation to remove his appendix so Ritchie Hawkins will again ride at number seven. Ipswich will be hoping to confirm their place in the 2011 Sky Sports Elite League on Thursday night but are not taking anything for granted. Team boss Pete Simmons is wary of complacency: “Newcastle have two of the best youngsters in world speedway in Kenni Larsen and Rene Bach who was outstanding in the Under 21 World Cup final. The choice of Stuart Robson as a guest has also been an astute move. We will have to be on our mettle on Thursday. This meeting is a potential banana skin”.

Jeff Scott will be at Foxhall on Thursday to promote his new book, "Shale Trek".
