And so onto Hockenheim, a high-speed track that should favour Red Bull. And Red Bull are still making many of the headlines, but for the wrong reasons after the wing controversy at Silverstone. In particular, that Helmut Marko bloke is a complete prat, who is clearly a self-destructive force within the team and he undermines Christian Horner's authority. It almost makes me feel sorry for Horner. Almost, but not quite. McLaren came away from Silverstone wondering just how they had stayed ahead in both championships. They will need to get the car right, as they can't keep relying on Red Bull to stuff things up. And also being in Germany, many eyes will be on Michael Schumacher. A good performance in front of his home crowd would wash away the bad memories of some of the recent races. Schumacher has shown he still has the ruthlessness and opportunism of old, can he show he still has the speed?

So what's being happening in Hockenheim? Well, McLaren have got their blown diffuser working properly this time, but Lewis Hamilton managed to crash the car yesterday, thereby limiting his practice with the modified McLaren. And after speculation, it seems almost certain that Michael Schumacher will be staying on at Mercedes next season: www.planetf1.com/news/18227/6274662/Schumi-Yes-I-am-staying-onQualifying gets underway shortly - come on the Brits

Oh, and one another thing, it seems that the Monaco race is under threat, because they don't pay moneybags Bernie enough. I know that Monaco is normally a shite race, but it's the ultimare test of a driver's abilities (hence the reason Senna won there six times) and should remain on the calendar. Talking about Senna, in a recent poll of current drivers, 12 out of 20 rated Senna the best driver of all-time, Michael Schumacher was next with 3 votes.

Well, I won't be around for the race today, but I'm predicting a win for the Golden Boy, something to go wrong with Alonso once more (well actually that's less of a prediction and more of a hope ;D ) and a tough afternoon for McLaren. McLaren really need a bit more pace. So far they have profited from Red Bull's cocks ups, but they can't hope for that to continue indefinitely.

So we have blatant cheating from Ferrari and Massa doesn't deny it in the post race interview. Let's hope they get their points deducted. Can't see it though.

Oh, and one another thing, it seems that the Monaco race is under threat, because they don't pay moneybags Bernie enough. There's been some talk of extending the track as part of the Monaco land reclamation scheme, but the recession has put that on hold for now.

Looks like I missed a controversial race today, as the Red Bastards live up to their name, with Massa receiving team orders to allow the Spanish Flapperjack through for an undeserved win.
Surely those 43 points should be taken off the Red Bastards, and the victory given to the Golden Boy. Team orders are NOT ALLOWED.
Meanwhile, McLaren managed to pretty much match Red Bull this weekend, after Red Bull again fail to capitalise on their clear speed advantage.

Couldn't agree more BUT the rule is ridiculous and shouldn't exist, team orders are part and parcel of F1, always have been always will be.
