Lucifer me old mate, the Elite season is completely 'done and dusted', the Fat lady has sung, showered changed, and fucked off home. And as for last monday?? Are you hallucinating again? The meeting at Rye was absolutely shit !! Typical div 2 crap that should never, ever be televised... Stuartroad, in the words of John McEnroe, you cannot be serious. Rye was a far better meeting than the one-sided fare from last night. The meeting at Poole was rubbish, with the only entertainment being provided by Darcy Ward falling off after the race, Chris Holder & Troy Batchelor both acting like 5-year-olds, and comedy team management from Trevor Swales. ;D We obviously have differing views on what constitutes 'a pass', or entertainment. Bottom line is though, whilst there is generally only one live match per week, Sky should never ever show Div 2 Speedway..

Poole fans will be pleased to know that Artur Mroczka won his meeting last night, meaning he's qualified for the U21 Polish final. Dawid Lampart, who was also in the meeting, finished 10th, and did not qualify.
He (Lampart) has, however, been awarded the wildcard for the world U21 qualifiers, which Mroczka also won the right to ride in. Mroczka goes through to the 2nd Round in Gdansk on May 15th, and Lampart goes to Croatia on the same day.

Thats a bit harsh, I have seen some good racing at some of the Premier League tracks over the years, although rarely if ever at Rye its a gaters paradise and always has been.

I'm not saying that Div 2 doesn't produce some good speedway(although there wasn't much on show at Rye on Monday) What i'm saying is, that teams who have no desire to step up a division, improve themselves and the quality of British speedway, should not be rewarded by being on television. The British speedway public appear either too stupid or too stubborn to realize this...
