There's an article on sportowefakty today about the merits of giving Leigh Adams the wild card at the Leszno GP - a place he calls his second home. Not only would it repay the loyalty the Australian has given his Polish club, but is likely to attract large crowds, given that Leigh has retired from the GPs and is making this year his last in the leagues.
The organisers do, however, pick a wild card by nationality. I was wondering if this is an actual rule, or if it's just seen as the done thing, and how other people would feel if a rider other than a Brit was given the Cardiff wildcard?

Any FMN can submit nominations for wildcards, which are chosen by the SGP Commission. In fact, there are several examples of riders of a different nationality to the staging nation being chose as wildcards. It usually happens when the host nation has more than couple of riders in the field.
