STOKE Easy Rider Potters are pleased to announce the return of 2009 number one Jason Bunyan.
Bunyan who scooped the 2009 Pride of the Potteries last month and returns to the Potteries for a second successive campaign after finishing the season off with an 8.25 average as the former Isle of Wight rider added just over a point to his average in his first season with the Potters.
Promoter Dave Tattum said “I’m delighted Jason has agreed to come back for a second season and I’m looking forward to working with him. Jason has been a delight to deal with and I know the supporters will be pleased that he is back next year.”
Bunyan who has become a fans favourite at Loomer Road said “I made it clear that I wanted to return next season and I’m pleased that everything is now sorted and I can relax knowing what I’m doing next year.”
The Potters will also have a new captain next season as Bunyan takes over the role for the 2010 campaign. Tattum said “I’ve decided to name Jason as captain and am sure he will do a great job both on and off the track. We both want success for the club and I feel Jason will do an excellent job for us in the skipper’s role.”www.potterspower.com

STOKE Easy Rider Potters are pleased to announce Hynek Stichauer as their fourth signing for the 2010 season. Stichauer, 22, joins the Potters on loan from Sky Sports Elite League Champions Wolverhampton and links up with Stoke on a seven point average. Potters promoter Dave Tattum said “Hynek is a young rider with plenty of ambition and wants to get to the top of the sport. He won an Elite League winners medal last season with Wolves last season but it was felt by him and his parent club that he would benefit from a season at Premier League level. I’m sure he will add to his average and become one of the top boys in the league.” Stichauer was Czech Republic under 19 champion back in 2005 and came to the attention of the Wolves promotion after finishing runner up in the five round 2008 Czech Republic under-21 championship finishing behind victor Matej Kus. Unfortunately Stichauer’s season with Wolverhampton was cut short after he suffered a vertebrae break in a Polish league match back in July having ridden sixteen matches for the West Midlands club allowing him to be credited with a league championship winners medal. Stichauer did return to action on the continent but was not recalled by Wolves for the latter part of the season. www.potterspower.com

STOKE have signed Henning Bager to replace fellow Dane Claus Vissing.
Vissing appears to be on the verge of joining an Elite League club, according to Stoke supremo Dave Tattum.
He said: “When we signed Claus we knew there was a chance he would be recalled back to the Elite League and that is what has happened. We would like to thank Claus for his efforts and wish him well in the future.”

No sooner does he return, then he is possibly out again!! Claus Vissing and Hynek Stichauer both crashed out of tonight's meeting and Taylor luckily escaped injury after his bike cleared the safety fence before hitting 2 spectators. The spectators were taken to hospital for check ups. In heat four Claus Vissing fell resulting in the Dane being taken to hospital with an ankle injury and in heat 15, Hynek Stichauer drove around the outside off the final bend but unfortunately came to grief hitting the deck extremely hard and also meaning a trip to hospital for the Czech Republic rider. Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey said “We’ve had some bad luck tonight and it’s increasingly likely that both Claus and Hynek will not be riding tomorrow night. We will now have to look at our options and Dave Tattum and I will be burning the midnight oil tonight in order to put a team together for tomorrow night’s fixture against Scunthorpe at Loomer Road. I’m off to the hospital now and we will give an update on Claus and Hynek as and when we have some more information. Our thoughts also go to the two supporters who were taken to hospital after Taylor’s bike went over the safety fence and we wish them both a speedy recovery from all Stoke Speedway.” www.potterspower.com/D/news.htm

STOKE Easy Rider Potters are pleased to announce the signing of Jeremia Thelaus.
Swedish born Thelaus, 22, joins the Potters on a full contract and comes into replace Dane Claus Vissing who was banned by his National Federation for the rest of the season.
Easy Rider Potters team manager Malcolm Vasey was pleased with the signing saying “I’ve seen Jeremia a couple of times last season when he rode at Redcar and Scunthorpe in a couple of individual meetings and have kept my eye on him this year. He was eager to come to Stoke and has bags of potential and is full of promise. He has very good equipment and also looked quick on the occasions I’ve seen him. After Claus was suspended for the rest of the season we felt that rider replacement was not an option and it was decided we’d bring the lad over.”
Thelaus come in to the Potters line up on an assessed seven point average and will make his debut in Stoke’s Premier League fixture at home to Newport on Saturday.
