Very sad to see oxford close down and not even with a fight going to have do something else with my summers from now on. Sorry no fight took place. Maybe you could have taken up the matle yourself if you were unhappy with the approach we took. I suspect you have NO IDEA how much time and effort was put into the campaign to save Oxford while you sat on your arse waiting to moan that no fight was being put up

Fog - that's what got me in a bit of a lather earlier this evening. Some people - one such example is Chris Brown - have really tried hard in their efforts to save Oxford. Absolutely, Chris and Colin P have led from the front, along with the rest of the gang working hard. I think it was an eye opener at the meeting last month to learn of the efforts, time & patience put in by these guys to save Oxford & then to read on here a comment (meant that way or not!!) like sandylane's really takes the piss. I'm all for free speech & opinions but be sure of the facts first. fog Thanks Fog, your comments are really appreciated

Believe me that we are not backing of securing the future We have gone through a number of years where Oxford have been on the brink and most of us (me included) have probably thought that it would all be OK in the end. This year it appears this will not be the case. Maybe it will be a wake up call for Oxford fans and just maybe if we can come back in 2009 we will come back stronger for actually closing At least we all hope that is the case

Let's hope this isn't the last we see of speedway in Oxford
