I might have taken the piss previously about Oxford and their promotions, but the fans don't deserve the shit they've had to endure the past 2 to 3 years.
Even if it takes JC super star to step in and save the day, something has got to be done about this.
He reckons he could have made a go of it a Oxford, let him put his money where his mouth is and give the Cheetahs fans an early Christmas present.

Been mulling this over for a while and not wanting to jump to conclusions. I think that whatever happens the most important thing is to keep the Oxford fans informed as soon as possible. They've faced enough uncertainty over the last few seasons and they really don't deserve any more.
Really hope something can be worked out. Fingers crossed for you all.

So on the radio interview Allen Trump confirmed that he will not promote at Oxford or with the GRA. He has no problem assisting any other involvement. 6 weeks of lack of talks or the lack led to this. fog

Thanks mr trump as soon as your at the bees you fuck off . Cheers flapperjack If that's what you think then you have no idea at all about Allen Trump and the serious problem the GRA have posed to the speedway at Oxford. Clearly the flapperjack is in fact you.

Thanks mr trump as soon as your at the bees you fuck off . Cheers flapperjack After what Mr. Trump has done to keep speedway going at Oxford - I personally think that posting was way out of line. Allen Trump is also a member of this forum.

I notice JohnPhealan on the Oxford forum is wondering who the new General Manager is now that Steve Rawle has left. Her name is Maureen Ridley. I found an article on the Oxford Mail site about her appointment (click here to see it). I have read both of the comments from readers near the bottom of the page and, not surprisingly, there are other people who can't get hold of the General Manager. I'm not a member of the Oxford forum so perhaps someone could pass the name of the new GM on to him.

Thanks for the info Peter but the SOS organisation have been talking to Maureen, but the man they can't get hold of is the GRA chairman who just hasn't responded to approaches. And he's the man that needs to be talked to.

I e-mailed Maureen in the early hours of this morning and asked what the chances are of speedway being staged at Sandy Lane this year. She replied: "As far as I know it is still under negotiations with our Managing Director". I sent the MD an e-mail at the same time and I'm waiting for a relpy.
I wasn't aware at the time that the SOS organisation had been talking to her. After reading about the number of ignored e-mails to the GRA, I thought I would have a go myself.
Good Luck to all at Oxford Speedway.
