After months of rumour and speculation, we can confirm that Rye House has been formally allocated the staging of the 2010 U-21 World Team Cup Final.
The award follows the successful staging at Rye of individual World U-21 Qualifying and Semi-Final rounds over the last three seasons. This meeting, however, goes a stage further, with a clearly elated promoter Len Silver not underestimating its significance. ?Not only will we see the very best young riders in the world in action, but this will be easily the most important and prestigious event ever staged at Rye House since the track first staged Speedway way back in 1935.?
The Final, scheduled for Saturday, September 4th, will feature Great Britain as hosting seeds, together with the three leading countries that make it through the Semi-Final rounds to be staged on May 29th.

And guess what? The dates have changed already. Seems the second quali round has been put back a month, and the final is now on the 5th. Still, good news for Rye.

JUNIOR CUP MOVED Rye House have been given permission to switch the World Under-21 Cup Final to Sunday, September 5.
The FIM have sanctioned the move suggested by Rockets chief Len Silver who has praised the efforts of Graham Reeve from the Speedway Control Bureau.
He said: "This will enable travellers from far afield to make the journey with ease of mind, and I have no doubt that another bumper attendance is assured.
“Also, the official practice will be on the Saturday to give more time for track preparation work to take place prior to the main Sunday event.”
