No news yet on our Mr TBC but there is this:
Injury Woe For Witches Ahead Of Poole A key member of the Witches team was injured yesterday while taking part in a football match to raise funds for Kim Jansson. Pete Simmons collided with an opposing player and fell to the ground, landing heavily on his elbow. He was taken to Ipswich hospital in a lot of pain and they found he has chipped the bone in his elbow and possibly dislocated it as well. He may have to miss the meeting at Poole on Wednesday. Further news will be published when he has had further treatment at the hospital...

A decent display by the Witches versus a poor Poole team, with Mr Andersen pi$$ing about for his first 2 rides, or he really is that poor ??, before he then won heats 13 and 15 comfortably . For the Pugwashes only their No 7 Artur Mroczka really improving on track as the meeting went on. For us Matt Tressarrieu, hmmmm bit rusty on a speedway track I feel, especially one so small after the open grass tracks he has successfully ridden on lately. Hopefully he will go PL racing next season to get his confidence back before he makes the jump up to EL.( I fully expect to see him as a Witch then in 2010 ) And it was bloody cold last night, why did we have to have 5 weeks off with all that lovely warm weather then come back in the cold, it was like the start of the season all over again.

And after a 12 heat meeting, Ipswich Witches have won a trophy....or some Windows , anyway a nice way to finish the season. Troy was undefeated.
