Round 18
Rospiggarna [47] v Dackarna [49] Västervik [55] v Piraterna [41] Vetlanda [44] v Indianerna [52] Lejonen [40] v Vargarna [56]
All eight teams in action as we head to the final round before the play-offs, and in all likelihood it’ll be goodbye to Piraterna, who look set to miss out on a top 6 position unless they win at Vastervik.
Lejonen and Vargarna are riding for pride – the outcome of their meeting determines who takes third in the league. The top 3 get to pick their quarter final opponents, but the team in third place pick last, so in all probability will end up with the team deemed hardest to beat.
It’s possible we could see a repeat of this meeting in the quarter finals, with Vastervik and Vetlanda choosing to contest their own meetings against Dackarna and Indianerna.

Rospiggarna v Dackarna
Henka Gustafsson has been dropped by Rospiggarna after a series of poor scores, and replaced by Maciej Janowski.

Dackarna:
1..K Bjerre 2..G Zengota 3..F Lindgren 4..H Andersen 5..A Jonsson 6..K Buczkowski 7..L Lindgren 8..N Larsson
Vastervik v Piraterna
No Laguta, as Vastervik have a shuffle around, but Sajfutdinov isn’t riding for Piraterna this week (the Vastervik riders will heave a collective sigh of relief) and the Genius in re-instated - albeit at reserve.
Vastervik:
1..T Gapinski 2..T Gollob 3..C Harris 4..N K Iversen 5..B Pedersen 6..K Doolan 7..A Rosen 8..P Aspgren
Piraterna:

Lejonen v Vargarna
Injury to Dennis Andersson means Ricky Kling comes back in for the Lions at reserve, as Skornicki is dropped by Vargarna in favour of Danny King, meaning Woffinden moves up to number 4.
Lejonen:
1..D Watt 2..D Ruud 3..P Swiderski 4..M Max 5..N Pedersen 6..R Kling 7..A Gothberg 8..NRN
Vargarna:
1..A Miedzinski 2..A Shields 3..S Nicholls 4..T Woffinden 5..K Kasprzak 6..D King 7..K Nilsson 8..M Andersson
Vetlanda v Indianerna
Lee Richardson returns from injury to spearhead his team – he missed out on the finals last year, and won’t want that to happen again.
Vetlanda:
1..L Richardson 2..P Ljung 3..J Hampel 4..P Hougaard 5..J Crump 6..T H Jonasson 7..R Aspegren 8..A Mellgren

Schumi i have some additional info regarding Västervik vs. Piraterna
Gollob wont ride for Västervik and no Jagus for Piraterna.
Its most likely R/R for both because G. Laguta and Emil S are occupied with the Russian champ on Wednesday and therefore cant ride in Sweden on Tuesday.

I already had R/R for Jagus, but what's up with Gollob? Didn't fancy it know he knows his team are safe? Or has Stefan put the frighteners on him to enable Piraterna to make it through?

Or has Stefan put the frighteners on him to enable Piraterna to make it through? there is claims that Gollob injured his hand yesterday but he did ride in Poland tonght so i dont know. V-vik perhaps dont want to gamble and risk that his injury will become worse if he rides on Tuesday or something like that.

Sounds rather dodgy. Either he broke his hand in the GP, and then he shouldn't have ridden for Gorzow today - or he didn't and should ride for Västervik on Tuesday. If Gollob doesn't ride Piraterna have a real chance to win.

If Gollob doesn't ride Piraterna have a real chance to win. I agree, but they won't get the bonus, and should still be out by my reckoning. Plus, you know what the Poles are like for having injured riders turning up. Still, there'll be questions asked should Vastervik lose.

They need the win, and the help of Rospiggarna.

Sportowefakty are reporting Gollob has suspected broken ribs, and that's why he's not riding tomorrow.

According to my records, the Russian Championships are on the 8th. The meeting the two mentioned are in is a league meeting (Balakovo v Vladivostok), but I'm pretty sure it's on Thursday (3rd). So why can't they ride tonight?

Piraterna will be sweating on news about Daniel Nermark, who was taken from the track in an ambulance at Coventry last night. No news, as yet, on Daniel's, Eastbourne's or Piraterna's websites.

Also rumours that the awesome Tomasz Gapinski won't ride tonight. If that's the case, Västervik will stand no chance

Apparently Gapinski was already in Sweden when he had to get home because of "Family reasons". Eric Andersson is said to step in no at the reserve. I also wonder why Eric is riding and not Billy Forsberg?
