I wonder if Kenneths first podium finish in the last GP signals his imminent breakthrough as one of the very top riders. I have just had this feeling for a couple of weeks, and the third place in Daugavpils only enhanced it. Bjerre's lightning fast at the moment - will it last?

He's been there or thereabouts all season, to be fair to him. But I have my doubts about whether he'll ever be a realistic contender. I would say that he's currently the second best Dane around.

Grand Prix rider Kenneth Bjerre has hit out at Peterborough fans who have criticised his performances in the British Elite League.
The Dane says he is upset by some of the flak he has taken from Panthers' fans on internet forums.
Some supporters claim Bjerre's performances have not matched up to those in the GP series, where he is currently in seventh place and just ahead of fellow countryman and reigning World Champion Nicki Pedersen.
Bjerre, who rides on his 'home' Swedish track at Malilla in this weekend's FIM Scandinavian Grand Prix, told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "I have read all the stuff on the internet and I'm not happy about it.
"If people have a problem with the way I'm riding they should be man enough to speak to me at the track, not go home and write on their computers.
"The things they are saying about my equipment in England are nonsense anyway. I am using the same stuff that I use everywhere else.
"People are also saying I am not really committed to Peterborough but that's rubbish. I chose to ride in England for Panthers tonight (Thursday) rather than for my Danish club last night and I want to help us get some good results against Belle Vue and Swindon on Monday.
"I have been back here for three years and am starting to feel settled. I really like the club and I get on really well with Rick Frost and Trevor Swales.
"I ride for the fans which is why these comments have made me angry, but if I ride in England next year I definitely want it to be at Peterborough."

Another fine Grand Prix for Bjerre, who really is in the middle of a purple patch just about everywhere, but for the Panthers. I always suspected he'd do okay in the Grands Prix - he always does well in the SWC.

And that's his third GP-final in a row, he's still to win one though.
