Jason has said on a Polish website that he, and other riders, are doubting the financial stability of the Ekstraliga, and considering pulling out of the league. wroclaw.naszemiasto.pl/sportwww.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/07/24/jason-crump-ekstraliga-stracila-szacunek/Edited for facts:The Czestochowa/Wroclaw meeting, which was cancelled last weekend because of the SWC, was re-arranged for today, but the stadium had already booked to be used for a charity event. Ekstraliga boss, Ryszard Glod, has now delayed the restaging until next Friday, but initiated "proceedings" against Czestochowa. Crump's not happy at the apparent lack of professionalism surrinding the league and said he "has lost respect for the Ekstraliga". On the same topic: Is it just the league, or is it Poland as a whole? Last night we saw Swedish side, Ornarna, field a woefully understrength team because their Poles who were in the original line-up pulled out for one reason or another. That's not to mention the Lakeside fixture which has now been postponed, various riders being told to attend warm-ups and practise when they have other commitments, and pressure being put on unfit guys to ride or face a fine.

Yes, the attitude of Polish Speedway does have a lot to answer for. It's not so much the authority either...the clubs seem power-crazy but it's expected given they are bigger business than those clubs in the UK and Sweden. There's more fickleness for sure and it breeds this attitude.

I think the bubble may have burst TBH, and when a Polish rider actually refused to ride for his Polish team in favour of his British team....well unheard of, or underlying reasons methinks.

We still all respect you!!!
Edited to add: Schumi, if you don't mind I've posted your first post over on the Aces forum, crediting this forum. I thought it would be of interest to the Aces fans as it involves our God.
