Miskowiak to face lengthy ban?

Following the ups and downs of the World Cup Final, travelled down to Ostrow for Intar's home meeting with Gniezno.
The appointed start time of 6pm came and went, whilst work continued on the track. The ever popular Weirde Beardy (ex GP referee Marek Wojaczek) then walked the track with riders, and an announcement was made the meeting would go ahead.
Whilst there was already a very healthy crowd in the Stadium, the news prompted the waiverers, who had been waiting outside for news, to stump up their zloty and join us.
Further delays ensued and then a final announcement that the meeting had been abandoned. Now this is where some confusion ensues. Remember my Polish is rudimentary, but from what I could piece together. Marek Wojaczek (him of the weird beard) had declared the track fit, the Gniezno riders were keen to ride, but Intar refused.
As a result Wojaczek awarded the meeting to Gniezno by walkover. This almost certainly relegates Ostrow to Liga 2 (the third tier of Polish speedway).
To say the locals didn't react well to the news is something of an understatement. A riot ensued with the locals quite keen to give their riders a full and frank expression of their views.
Messrs King and Harris were particular targets, assuming that they were somehow primarily responsible for the events of the evening and for the Global Credit crunch in general. Clearly the mob thought the two of them were somehow involved in financial services, as they wanted "to kill the English Bankers". Well at least I thought that was what they said!!!!
The bottom line is that matter will now go to the PZM. I didn't get the opportunity to speak with Marek Wojaczek (him of the weird beard), but one of our group did and he indicated the Intar riders could expect a 6 to 12 month ban for refusing to ride.
The effects on the Obcokrajowcy, Messrs King, Harris, and Nermark will be limited. Obviously the fact that they will be unable to earn any money in Poland will have a serious financial impact, but they will still be able race elsewhere.
If the PZM does decide to take punitive action, the two Intar Seniorzy Messrs Miskowiak and Zabik could be made examples of. If their PZM licences were suspended, it would have the knock on effect of cancelling their international licences, meaning they would be unable to race anywhere.
All joking aside the riot was a little unpleasant with stones, bricks and bottles being thrown into the pits.

and:
surely the final decision for the team not to ride comes from the management/promotion of that team and not the rders? Yes the riders will of course have their say on track conditions but I can't see how they personally can cop the full force of the blame for this, blanket fine the riders, fine the club - understandable, but I can't see how banning the riders is a justified punishment
Nothing to do with the Ostrow management, who lost big bucks on the cancellation, and with the almost inevitable relegation, even more besides!!
The Ostrow club did all they could to get the meeting on, and no blame can be attached to them. Indeed the Ostrow fans knew where to vent their anger, and that was towards their own riders.
This was rider power at its worst, and I reckon the PZM will be looking to make an example of those who transgressed.
Local press are this morning suggesting King, Harris, & Co banned from Polish speedway up to 2 years. Miskowiak and Zabik to have their licenses suspended for 12 months.
If true and this comes to pass, that will be disaster for the Witches this year and next , whilst I'm not a great Misko fan, being dropped this season has make him wake up and smell the flowers a bit more, and he is doing OK for us now.
