No GP this weekend as Formula One takes a three week break and returns in Germany on the 12th.
So heading off to Nurburgring, and the top four look like this:
1..J Button (Brawn GP)..64 2..R Barrichello..(Brawn GP)..41 3..S Vettel (Red Bull)..39 4..M Webber (Red Bull)..35.5
Red Bull will need to decide which of their drivers is going to take the challenge to Brawn, because at the minute Vettel and Webber are taking points from each other.

I notice that the Mighty Button has, somewhat tongue in cheek, suggested that he is the greatest F1 driver of all-time. Meanwhile, Bernie has apologised for his somewhat stupid "Hitler was a man who got things done" comments.

Red Bull have been fined for releasing Vettel into the path of Nakajima, causing an incident in the pit lane. Glock has been demoted to the back of the grid after impeding the Spanish moaner. Webber took his first ever pole, ahead of Barrichello and Button. Full results: news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/results/7921041.stm

Am I the only one who is starting to find Barichello bloody annoying? The race was there for him to go out and win today, but he drives too slowly (at one point Sutil was reeling him in ) and then tries to blame the team. Yes there was a fault with the fuel pump, but by then Barichello had checked away his chance of victory. And he held up Button and cost him fourth place (Button would have come out in front of Rosberg without his team-mate mobile chicance before the last set of pit-stops). As Barichello's post-race tirade, I hope Ross Brawn hands Rubens his P45 and brings in young Senna for the rest of the year. And how did Raikkonen avoid a penalty for once again ruining Sutil's chance of getting points. Webber gets a penalty for banging in Barichello, Raikkonen gets nothing for damaging Sutil's wing? How does that work out. Otherwise very pleased for Mark Webber today, especially as he showed that cocky German sod Vettel who's boss.

Raikkonen gets nothing for damaging Sutil's wing? How does that work out. Much as I hate to side with Ferrari, I don't think Raikonnen did much wrong. He had the racing line going into the corner, whilst Sutil was on the wrong line at the wrong speed, which threw him wide. The real problem is that ridiculous corner just coming out of the pit line. A driver emerging from the pits can't move over until the end of the white line, but then they're on completely the wrong line for that particular bend. To take that sort of bend at any speed, it's absolutely critical to be on the racing line, because if not you're going to drift too wide. I also thought that it's an absolutely stupid sort of bend to have at the first corner, as there bound to be cars on the wrong line immediately after the start and is just a receipe for collisions. I'd have judged Raikonnen-Sutil to be a straightforward racing incident, possibly with Sutil marginally more at fault (as drivers off the racing line should really give way if they're not in front before reaching the apex of the bend).
