It's a crap tactic anyway to not go for the win to avoid a double-pointer. Most you're going to gain from not giving away the tactical is one point and could end up losing points if the TR doesn't come off.

Well I'm so happy I paid to watch that utter rubbish, and get covered in shale. For the second home meeting in a row, we were made to look like the away team. Congratulations Swindon, well won. Next up Peterborough, at least that meeting will have 1 good thing about it

But two Dryml wins over Leigh Adams, mimi. That has to count for something, surely. Big let downs for the Eagles tonight were Watt and Woodward - Watt was utterly pathetic.

Very true, Lukas beating Adams was a joy to watch but the rest of it just wasn't. Unless you support Swindon, I would imagine. Don't know what is up with them two, I think the pair of them are very low in confidence and so are finding it very hard to get any sort of good form going.

So Leigh Adams implies that Swindon were 'cheating' in races to avoid going more than 8 points ahead, it's absolutely disgraceful that the paying public were being robbed, lets hope the authorities impose some sort of penalty. And there was me thinking such a tactic would be used to try and win a meeting. Tsk. Silly me! What like average manipulation being a tactic to try to win the league ? You can't have it both ways Grachan, a race where a rider is purposely trying to lose is either acceptable or not.

You could see it. Just like you could see that Poole weren't at Swindon. Tired old topic. Sad to see a few Pirates fans still in denial to be honest.

That's tactics, not cheating Blimey Hatcham you've got me defending the Swindon Budgies now.

My point Grachan as i'm sure you understand is that whether Adams or Swindon were cheating last night the opportunity to 'cheat' is available to anyone due to the stupid rules, i completely fail to see how, throwing a race is any more palatable if it's to gain an advantage for one night.

Hmmmm. See, I'm thinking there's some sort of trick to this and I'm being caught out somewhere. I mean, surely it's not as totally bleeding obvious as it seems. Ooh, I do hate these cryptic ones. Let's see. What's the catch here?? All I can see is one being a relatively poor tactic from a team trying its best to win a match and the other being a total conning and ripping off of the paying public by failing to put in a genuine effort in a match and bringing the entire sport into disrepute. Let me see.... Nope. Give up. You'll have to explain it.

Maybe you could explain it to me, as i fail to see how a team employing a "relatively poor tactic" to try to win a match is fundamentally any different to employing a potentially effective tactic to have a chance of winning the league. To me the difference is negligible, both are "conning the public" both involve "failing to put in a genuine effort" and both could be construed as "bringing the entire sport into disrepute"
