Jurica Pavlic will be making his Elitserien debut, with Karol Zabik also stepping in at short notice. These moves also free up some points at reserve where Sebastian Aldén will replace Patrick Hougaard. Pavlic/Zabik will ride at No 1 and/or 2 with Jonasson/Aldén being reserves thanks to the rolling average, but I don't have any information about the specific numbers for these riders. Can anyone watch the live stream, mine keeps cutting in and out Unfortunately buffering is usually a problem. Hope it didn't spoil it too much for you. A disappointing showing for Joonas Kylmakorpi and Simon Gustafsson was balanced out by Hampel's absence and Ljung's poor form, but Indianerna will be delighted to have picked up two points over the current league table toppers. Three out of Dackarna's top four riders have dropped their average this year - Hans, Freddie and Peter Karlsson, and again PK will be wondering if he should have scored more. Still, two points for the home team, and a maximum for Freddie Lindgren. However, the Genius didn't disappoint with what was no doubt a spectacular, but safe, tumble, and Chris Harris picked up bumper points at reserve for the visitors, with a paid maximum to continue his great run of form ahead of the British Grand Prix. For last year's league champions, only Nicki, Piotr and Leigh can be excused for the loss, as the other four riders picked up only seven points between them. The spearhead of Adams and Pedersen was supposed to be all-conquering, but it makes them too top heavy, leaving them vulnerable elsewhere. But Vargarna have benefitted from a change in the team order, and Tai Woffinden was a trump card for them at reserve. League Table:

With the ever-awesome Gapinski now in their team, Västervik are starting to roll Piraterna needs to bring Emil in, I reckon. And Rospiggarna have certainly struck gold in signing Ulamek. As I said after seeing them at home last week, I defy any team to beat them in Hallstavik this year! And will Lejonen finish bottom? ;D

Vargarnas track is probably one of the tracks that gives the most home advantage which means results like this can happen. Along with Vetlanda and Hallstavik, I'd say. Västervik is also difficult for away riders, as is Gislaved. Most neutral is probably Eskilstuna, Målilla and Kumla.

Indianerna..52Vetlanda..44 With Jaroslaw Hampel out (sickness), I fully expected the veteran trio of Crump, Richardson and Ljung to be too lonely and showing a long tail of Elit Vetlanda, but it actually proved to be the other way around! The - on paper - middle order riders and the reserves fought very well for a 24 paid 29 so getting a stronger pairing at reserve to compensate for the absence of Hampel proved to work fine. I don't think the original line-up would have scored better, even though it would have taken some pressure of Crump/Richardson to produced heat victories. Elit Vetlanda only managed 5 heat victories all night, as Indianerna lead from the beginning and seemed to have a bit more "punch" this time. The Indians took a fair victory, nothing can be said about that, but as a Elit Vetlanda supporter, I'm not that disappointed after all, despite the first loss of the season. There were some bright spots, to bring with us to the upcoming meetings. So a good day for most around the Kumla track, with the fans being given glorious weather (best Tuesday night weather all season), and some quite exciting racing. All in all, an enjoyable evening in Kumla, as most times. For Indianerna, Walasek has been riding better at home earlier this season (judging by his scores), but 9 points is OK. Monberg scored well, though neither unsuspected or spectacular. Protasiewicz was awesome, and cleary the best rider on show, despite it being three GP riders in the line-ups. Kylmäkorpi came from nowhere to record a victory, a one heat wonder this night. Holta blew hot and cold, but being incredibly fast at times. Gustafsson had a tough night and didn't look that fast. Madsen is a steal on a 2.00 average and should have had a fifth ride instead of his reserve partner. For Elit Vetlanda, Zabik had the pressure on him after two not so impressive performence this season, but rode his heart out and scored some points. Can't ask more of him. Pavlic was good in his Elitserien debut, always in the mix and was perhaps worth a point or so more. Richardson was OK, even though I know he can be better. Ljung can perform at this track but seemed to lack everything needed to score in Elitserien; aggression, speed and confidence. Crump had an off night by his high standard, but should be allowed to have that sometime. Aldén blew hot and cold though 7 points is a job well done. Jonasson had a stinker in his first (from gate 1), but improved and earned his score. Man of the match: Piotr Protasiewicz Most exciting rider: Jurica Pavlic (for some high speed chases) With the ever-awesome Gapinski now in their team, Västervik are starting to roll Västervik have a strong line-up with Gapinski in the team and Harris at reserve. It will be a cracking meeting next week in Västervik, but I definitely think we (Elit Vetlanda) will have to ride our best meeting of the season to get anything from that that one. And Rospiggarna have certainly struck gold in signing Ulamek. As I said after seeing them at home last week, I defy any team to beat them in Hallstavik this year! And we'll have to go to Hallstavik next month, that's not an easy task either. Two shrewed signings by Mikael Messing in the latest transfer period, and with most home meetings left for Rospiggarna, they will push hard to be a top six team. I reckon they'll finish top 6, but I can't figure out which team they will replace. Could be an exiting playoff race finish in the later rounds of the regular season. And will Lejonen finish bottom? ;D Nah, I don't think so, they are too strong at home and will take a lot of points in the second half of the season, especially when Chris Holder gets back into action. I would also like to add the final Elitserien track (Motala) to the neutral category.

Well, I don't honestly believe Lejonen will finish bottom, and with the team they've got they certainly shouldn't. However, when things start to go wrong, it can be a bitch to turn them around - especially if the rumours of internal strife and lack of money at Gislaved has any truth.
But I believe as Anders does, that their home track will be their saving grace.
Motala yes, I had a feeling I forgot one track. Very good race track which provides open heats and little home advantage. However, the inside gate, as in Västervik, can sometimes be too much of an advantage to my liking.
