Not much news ahead of Turkey, but Ross Brawn thinks his team don't look competitive after a tough day of practise. Race starts at 1pm on Sunday.

I reckon Vettel only got pole because he's fuelled light. He won't stop the mighty Button come the race. ;D

Another fantastic performance from the mighty Button ;D Whereas Barichello seemed to think he was driving a stock car. And Schumi, I though Hamilton avoided being lapped - just!!

Just because he unlapped himself doesn't mean he wasn't lapped!

Just because he unlapped himself doesn't mean he wasn't lapped! Schumi, ah, I get your meaning. But I think Hamilton interviewed very well when interviewed on BBC1 today - he's accepted that this isn't his year. When asked about his chances at Silverstone, he dismissed his own, but wished the mighty Button the best of luck. I thought that was a nice touch. On the other hand, Barichello made a right knob of himself, again suggested that Button was getting preferential treatment, which is bollocks. Today Barichello drove like he was in a stock car race, bouncing off about three over cars before finally managing to damage his own. Button just drives so smootly and can up his game when necessary. In contrast, Barrichello is a bit ragged and unable to put in a special lap when needed. Button is just a better driver.

And here is Barichello's whining: www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5368108,00.html Rubens, maybe it goes wrong on your "side of the pits" because you can't get your arse off the startline quickly enough and then play pinball with the other cars.

In other news, KERS has been scrapped for 2010 So Ferrari can't get it to work properly, and suddenly it gets dropped...?

You old cynic, Wibbs. The problem with KERS is that, although it ticks the right boxes in terms of being more environmentally friendly, it's expensive. And the teams are supposed the be reducing costs - indeed, with Max's proposed budget cap that he's remaining steadfast on, he'd look like a bit of a hypocrite if he insisted on a system that causes more problems than it solves. How many teams are running it, anyway? Can only be five or so?

In other news, KERS has been scrapped for 2010: Good - KERS is a waste of money. Now all we need is for that other waste of money, Mr. Barichello, to be scrapped for 2010 - and Bruno Senna to get his chance. EDIT: And Rubens becomes even more delusional: www.planetf1.com/story/0,18954,3213_5369425,00.html Rubens is a nice bloke, but he has to face facts - the mighty Button is just a better driver. Rubens wasn't a bad driver in his day (when he used to be forced to slow down to let Schumacher win), but this year is the day of the mighty Button ;D
