Rico, Dryml was injured on May 30. Please find a meeting he rode abroad during June and July. Except for one World U21 round, when he rode with the injury strapped up, something many riders (e.g. Peter Collins, Kenny Carter, etc ) have done over the years. Happy hunting. And his actual return date to UK racing was ? And what have Edinburgh 'been up to' ? You can't expect to throw accusations around and not be asked for an explanation. Rico Mid-August I think. Away at Poole. The only meeting he had done up to at this time was the one World U21 round I've already said about. You're knocking at the wrong door, Rico. Lukas's absences in 2001 were down to injury and the sour grapes thrown about by Havvy were just that - fast forward a few years and you'd have a better case, but he wasn't riding for Oxford at that time. Actually the use of facilities for Ales Dryml in 2002 was more dodgy, than Lukas Dryml in 2001 which was legitimate bar one late season Craven Shield match (note not a league match). As for Edinburgh, I'm referring principally to last year when the SVEMO agreement was quoted to allow the Monarchs to use R/R when THJ was riding in ... er... a Poland league match.

I agree that the THJ / SVEMO thing was nonsense, however that is 1 absence. Hardly worth the phrase you used. In the modern day with so much information to hand it's foolhardy to try and lead your public up the garden path. As for Dryml, I had a peek at the old yahoogroups archives for October 2001 and it brought back a lot of memories. I will have to have a wee discussion re this topic over the weekend at some point. Some things on the Dryml topic I wouldn't consider posting in the public domain. Rico

Rico, but I only brought up THJgate because you brought up Drymlgate. And I only brought up Drymlgate as you sought to portray Oxford 2001 as all being sweetness and light Rico

Anyway, it is the last ocassion in our history when it all went right, so 2001 will always have a soft spot in my heart.

As will the 2008 Premier League roll of honour show the Monarchs as the champions. And I don't think you'll find anyone fair-minded saying they didn't deserve to be so ;D Rico

Almost, but not quite, as deserving as Oxford in 2001.

It must be Dekker then, because he's got Mignight Lady defending him. Not sure how you come to that conclusion But then I am never sure how you come to a lot of conclusions.

Next up for the injury-ravaged Tigers are non other than the Champions elect themselves - the Kings Lynn Stars . The Messiah is the latest casualty of the gypsy curse that has been haunting us for a couple of seasons now , after he crashed out in heat 2 of last weekend's Pairs at Somerset . The all conquering Stars are led by the explosive Darcy Ward and the reliable Tomas Topinka . They also include Dekker's favourite rider - Kozza Smith Couple of interesting guests don the stripes this weekend , Sky's favourite baldy - Steve Johnston and Berwick fan's favourite punchbag - wee Willie Lawson . You can't go wrong in Glasgow colours with a name like Lawson . Sunday's teams are - Glasgow /PL select 1 Scotland's numero uno 2 Rusty Harrison 3 Scotland's numero three kidding on he's the trainee messiah 4 r/r for mrs brady 5 Johno kidding on he's the messiah 6 Mitchell Davey 7 Big Lee Kings Lynn 1 Darcy Ward 2 Linus Eklof 3 Emiliano Sanchez 4 Chris Schraam 5 Tomas Topinka 6 Kozza Smith 7 Jan Graversen Referee is Dan Holt Can we lower the Star's colours ? Erm probably not , but an interesting meeting looks on the cards .

A couple of very good guests there - including a near demi-god in Steve Johnston. I fancy the Tigers to produce an upset.

Less though about that one, it'll give you too weak a tail away from home again - it'll be Scotland's No. 1 and the demi-god doing the majority of your scoring in Barbaria.

Don't write off ex-Comet Rusty Harrison chipping in with more than a few points . And young Mr Sedgmen produced a double figure return recently when Somerset visited Derwent Park . And Mitchell Davey goes better round there than he does on the majority of away tracks . I'm heading to Barbaria tomorrow not exactly without any hope of a result .

Paulco, I hope they put up a good show, since you gave up the Eagles for the Tigers.
