How many years, I wonder, has Slawomir Drabik been roaring around the outside on turns 1-2 in Czestochowa like that? Wonderful first couple of turns as Drabik rolled back the years - Andersen very poor again. Pathetic stuff from him.

Hans Andersen - Oh Dear Oh Dear Oh Dear.
Watching him last night and now makes me glad Poole signed him rather than us. We're better off with Kasprzak.

Yet more great action between Kylmakorpi and Gapinski in Ht 11 - passed a re-passed each other quite a few times, with the Lakesider just holding on.

And this meeting currently running in Czestochwa is the only Ekstraliga meeting to survive the weather as the Gorzow versus Torun meeting is also postponed. The two clubs haven't managed to reach an agreement over a re-staging date, so the Ekstraliga commissioner were mandate one for them on Monday.

A fantastic effort from Richardson there, but he couldn't quite get past the fast-starting Bjerre. Bjerre, in fairness, has been the sole bright spark for Gdansk today.

Another glorious first couple of turns by dear old Drabik takes him to a win in Ht 13 - Zetterstrom didn't leave him a whole lot of room, but Drabik is in possession of "big balls" and he squeezed through. Good ride from Zetterstrom to get past Szczepaniak. I think this has been a superb speedway meeting.

And a truly magnificent ride from Kenneth Bjerre to finish a superb meeting off. Brilliant race, brilliant meeting.

Following the controversial postponement of last season's play-off semi-final meeting between Czestochowa and Leszno (when the homesters would've been without key riders), it looks like clubs are now posting photographs of track conditions in the event of a postponement. Here are the track conditions that led to the postponement in Bydgoszcz: foto.sportowefakty.pl/index.php?k=2&p=4&g=2862And Gorzow: foto.sportowefakty.pl/index.php?k=2&p=4&g=2863None from Wroclaw, so far.

New dates have been confirmed by the office of Ekstraliga commissioner Ryszard Glod (Glod, in Polish, means famine, which is a rather unfortunate name) for yesterday's postponed fixtures. Bydgoszcz and Leszno agreed a date of this coming Sunday (07-06-09), while Bydgoszcz and Zielona Gora agreed a date of a week on Thursday (11-06-09) and both agreements have been ratified. Gorzow and Torun were unable to reach an agreement, so Mr Glod has mandated that their meeting be run this coming Sunday (07-06-09). Confirmation of the above: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/06/01/terminy-zaleglych-spotkan-ekstraligi/Ah, the joys of an independent commissioner.

And in a move that is likely to have our beloved First Lady spitting fire, it looks like the "Genius" has been dropped from the Leszno team that'll take to the track at Bydgoszcz on Sunday: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/06/05/unia-mocniejsza-bez-balinskiego/Leszno stress that this isn't a punishment for the Genius' weak scoring; they just want to see if the team performs stronger without him.

And we're underway in Bydgoszcz. However, the meeting in Gorzow has been postponed, again. This time the postponement is due to the re-staging of the Junior SWC meeting in Pardubice today. As of yet the clubs have not reached agreement on a new date, so it could be down to Mr Glod to decide.

They seem to be going through this meeting in Bydgoszcz like the clappers - started well for Bydgoszcz, but it all looks like being very tight at the end.
