Terrible isn't it? Did my ears deceive me, or did the commentator give second place to Stachyra in one heat, despite him not even being in it?

I think it's the worst speedway meeting I've ever seen - no Coventry fan should dare to criticise an uber-golem track after this disgrace.

And Pearson now seems to think Coventry are winning by 20 more points than they actually are...

Given up watching the borefest, but some comments:
Referee got everything spot on. Ipswich need a heatleader who can do the business away from home, much as I like Hampel and appreciate the job he does around Ipswich. Coventry's track was awful.
And my main concern tonight is this: lately far too many teams are trying to beat the opposition by making things difficult - be that politics, tactics, or doctoring the track. What I want to see is a team riding fair and square, and the better team winning.
I'm getting fed up with all this bickering, fiddling, backbiting, doctoring and underhandedness, athough I don't refer to anyone in particular. But I really am concerned about the way the sport is heading.
Finally, and most importantly, very best wishes to the Ipswich reserves, who I hope make full and speedy recoveries.

Impressive to see Harris return to such sterling form in the last two meetings eh?

I think he was running the 3rd highest average in the league away from home before tonight. Only Lindgren and Adams were doing better than him, so surely he isn't as bad as you make out!

And on a night when their club have shamed British speedway, a Bees win should have the Bees' supporters happy. Best wishes to Messrs Stachyra and Smith - hope their injuries aren't too severe.

Perhaps it is, but I like to look at it more as an indication of what I expect from him - or what I think he can do. And being overtaken by Schlein and Kennett isn't something I expect from him - I would rate Jarek around tenth in the world, but he's not shown it in the meetings I've seen him compete in this year. In this so called diluted league, he should have had at least one heat win, and he hasn't. However, I do feel for Ipswich, and respect them for fielding the same team and not pulling any dubious moves like some other teams have. It's because of that I wanted the Witches to win, even though Chris Harris is fast becoming one of my favourite riders.

Ok, I only got home from super Scunny to see the final five races. So how are Nicholls AND Frampton in the Bees line-up? And why did the Coventry track resemble a ploughed field?

I think Hampel was more interested in walking away from the meeting in one piece tonight. And who could reasonably blame him for that? The worst meeting I have ever seen and I've seen a lot.

That's the first time for a long time that I haven't made it to heat 15.
What a load of guff that was!

The track was prepared ready for asphalt to be laid, but since Coventry were allowed to have the global superstar and Frampton - no doubt in the best interests of the sport - the asphalt plant was stood down and the meeting had to go ahead.

The worst meeting I have ever seen and I've seen a lot. Is your memory so bad that you have forgotten what Eastbourne recently served up on Sky? I think that was far inferior to what we got tonight. As for Schumi's point about Jarek....Yeah, I get what you are saying. He IS one of the World's top 10 rider's regardless of the fact that BSI choose to offer places to far inferior riders, and he maybe should be scoring more. He was clearly caught out badly by the track tonight, and I don't think you can hold that against him. He's usually pretty damn good round Brandon.
