I forgot to mention this . Earlier on today when i was out cutting the front lawn Postman Pat handed me my mail . There it was on the top - Jury Citation . I have to be at Paisley Sheriff Court on July 25th . I had to do this a few years back and it was sooooo bloody boring . Most of the time it was stuck in a room while the lawyers were argueing over something ( probably what lap dancing club to go to afterwards ) . How can i get out of this i.e. What excuse can i give cause i canny be bothered with it .

Don't know how it works in Scotland, tis all different up there. I'd love to do Jury service, although I do think I'm allowed. I served 18yrs as a Police Officer til recently ( got medically retired cos of a bad injury)...maybe I could don a ginger wig, put on a Scottish accent and pretend I'm you

erm .... yes Jacques . Probably a couple of things that would give the game away there mate ;D mmm yeh I suppose. It could be a really juicy case this time though Paul, or a complicated fraud that goes on for weeks and weeks........ probably the latter.. Doesn't it give you the opportunity to say you are unavailable for particular reasons??

The last time i had to do this was a couple of toe-rags that mugged an old lady outside a supermarket . Guilty as sin , but the lawyers somehow managed to drag it out for three days .

of course they did, the longer they drag it out the more they get paid...all out of the Legal Aid coffers aswell no doubt, or should I say tax payers pockets

The judicial system is completely different in Scotland. However, I'd say that you probably won't be able to get out of it no. Fancy them getting you twice aswell Is that because there are so many n'er do wells in Glasgow, they have to use the same people for jury service time and time again ;D
