Kamikaze tactics from Mear, who is rightly excluded for knocking off Sitera and almost Harris as well. I thought Mear was fortunate to get away with it yesterday when it looked an even more clear cut decision, wiping out one of the Polish riders, Pawel Zmarzlik (who then lost a run-off for the last qualifying spot). Rico Thought Mear was at fault too, Sitera may have gone down a little easily but he really had little option. The fact that Mear then went on to nearly wipe out Harris just proved to me he wasn't in total control of the bike on that bend. As for Cook - rather than tieing the ref in knots I thought again he came across arrogant. What couldn't he understand, the fact that Turnbull had seen contact, or as I thought he was inferring, her accent. Mind you Rico didn't do himself any favours either, what was the matter with ht12? Nothing dirty and Kennet was no hard on him than he had been on Kennet earlier in the meeting. Kennet has impressed me this season, much like Bridger he seems to have matured from the spoilt brat of a couple of seasons ago and his maturity is showing on track.

Perfectly reasonable decision by the ref. Mear moved out and took Sitera down. Don't see what all the fuss is about. Just another case of "let's bash the refs" for the sake of it. And I thought that John Cook acted like an arse on the phone - which was rather entertaining.

Graham - In a nutshell!
Cook came across as a patronising arse.

Looks like I will have to watch this meeting on the TV to hear what Cook has to say for himself. He did say after heat 14 that it wouldn't be the end of the world if Lakeside lost a point and look what happened!! Enjoyed the meeting especially as it was free with my ID card ;D but did get a bit chilly after heat 10. There seemed to be such a delay, was there something going on in the pits to cause such a delay? Heat 12 was brilliant.

I thought the wee lassie from Paisley made a wee mistake in excluding Mear , but we can forgive her that cause she's from Paisley . Cook behaved like a chauvanistic arsehole towards her though and we might have to get the boys down and pay him a visit .

I actually thought Sitera would have been excluded and was already to write it in my programme. So they were talking about Cardiff which meant I started to freeze. I would have been nice of SKY to let the Lakeside promotion know that there was going to be a break, then I maybe could have gone for a cup of tea. As soon as I put my right foot forward to go to the loo, the riders came out again, typical I just love Sky Plus ;D

Just wondered what you made of Jon Cook's condescending attitude towards Christina Turnbull. I think he'll look back at the coverage and be a bit embarrassed.

Well mention it once to make sure we knew it was on, but then we had highlights of last year, and then they were talking about Bomber's win at Cardiff, and then the adverts for Cardiff, then back to the British Final, and then having Eddie in the studio for an interview , they haven't done that since the new studio came into use, why did they have to waste so much time??

She probably excluded Mear because she preferred Cook's chauvinism to having to listen to Oakes' pansy voice.

Well, I have watched it now and my opinion is that Mear did not touch Filip although Filip would have been hit if he stayed where he was. Jon did bully the referee a bit although she did the right thing in putting the phone down on him in the end.
