That was an unbelievable meeting in more ways than one. The track may have been a bit iffy to start with, but I don't believe the surface was the cause of all those crashes. The shape & size of Arlington is horrible and far too narrow going into the first bend.
I hope all the riders who picked up injuries tonight are back in the saddle again soon, and amazingly I personally thought Swindon deserved a point out of that meeting.
Respect to Rosco for keeping it calm and geeing up his boys when they looked to be dead & buried in the meeting, such a waste he wasn't made TeamGB manager.

An horrendous meeting with a fabulous finale, but I'm amazed at all the talk of the track being to blame for the incidents. If anyone is looking to point the finger, look no further than the #5 position in the home side of the pits........no speedway meeting should be run in the presence of The Omen!!! Seriously hope that all the injuries are quick to heal and that no lasting damage was done!

Another nasty one, although I struggle to see why they're blaming the track surface for that one. The track shape, possibly. The track size, possibly. But the track surface? Were they not saying that the surface was inconsistent, too slick on the inside whilst too much grip when the riders move out hence them losing it on that first/second bend. I have never seen so much carnange in one meeting. Appalling. There were too many riders losing it in the same spot so that should tell you something. For me Lewis Bridger was the cause of two incidents when he was off gate four and came over way too early causing the other riders grief. Rossiter was right in what he said. I hope all the injured riders are okay. Speedy recovery Fish and I hope you are okay for Friday. Oh and well done Cam. What a last heat

but I really don't like speedway on these little tracks...and I include the Edinburgh track when I say that! The Polish influence here? ;D I would find it boring if all tracks were big. I also don't believe last night's carnage was anything to do with the size of the track more the way it had been inconsistently prepared. If it had been the shape and size then there would be carnage every week.

I think it's all just too easy to blame Bobby D and his tractors. For a start, it lets the riders off the hook. I would put most of the carnage down to the riders and not the track. Haven't you ever had riders pull "full locks" at Armadale and had riders plough into them? Haven't you had riders "losing it" at Armadale? And when it happens does the blame get laid squarely at the door of the "Doc"?

I think in some instances riders are to blame when they "lock " up or "lose it" but you know full well that I blamed the track for the awful meeting last week against Sheffield with riders losing it and that was due to the heavy rain we had which made the surface heavy and inconsistent. Other times riders doing that at the Dale is more often that not them not using their heads.
However I saw no evidence of a heavy track due to the weather in the Eastbourne meeting. Riders were also talking about the inconsistency of the track surface in the interviews.
