I wasn't talking about ruts. It's silly to try and ride speedway bikes around a track like this - there's absolutely no space for the power these bikes have. A bad looking crash now as I'm typing this. It's no surprise as the bends are so narrow it's bound to happen. It's a good thing then that the track is so short there's no chance of any real speed - then these bends would be truly lethal. Totally agree. I've never been a fan of some of the stupid little tracks we have over here, of which Eastbourne and Lakeside are perfect examples.

This is ridiculous! They need to delay the meeting to sort the track out!

In Eastbourne's defence, I've never witnessed this many falls in one meeting.

Another nasty one, although I struggle to see why they're blaming the track surface for that one. The track shape, possibly. The track size, possibly. But the track surface?

I make it that 9 of the 14 riders have hit the deck so far, and incredibly Bridger and Dryml aren't two of them.

I actually forgot this was on , but since it's Eastbourne i'm not too fussed anyway .

I grew up as a kid watching speedway at Exeter, Henry so i totally agree with your sentiment but sadly small tracks in Britain are here to stay. When RJ first saw the track at Crystal Palace he couldn't believe anyone could ride on a track so small. And Palace was 449 yards(over 410 metres)

Terrible luck for Swindon losing both their reserves. Hope the withdrawals are just precautionary.
