An eventful meeting at the Messiahdome this afternoon as the Comets saw two of their riders withdrawn from the meeting. But it didn't stop them recording an away win and an away win that gains them four Premier League points: GLASGOW..411..S Parker..2,3,3,2,0 = 102..R Tornqvist..0,0,0 = 03..J Grajczonek..R/R 4..A Summers..1,1',3,0,2 = 7+15..J Grieves..2,3,3,1',3 = 12+16..M Davey..3,0,2,1,0,1 = 77..L Smart..1,0,2,1,1,0 = 58..J McBain = DNRWORKINGTON..491..A Rymel..3,3,0,0 = 62..C Wright..1,0,3,W = 43..K Doolan..2',2,2,3,1' = 10+24..R Lawson..3,0,1',3 = 7+15..A Compton..3,1',2,3,2 = 11+16..C Cook..0,2,1,0,2,2',1 = 8+17..J Branney..2,1,W = 3Taken from: users.boardnation.com/~easy_tiger/A bit embarrassing for the heathen Tigers, for whom Tornqvist had another very disappointing afternoon.

Tornqvist looks even worse than Juul , if that's possible . Juul's apparently fit again, and is riding in Denmark this week, if you want him back.

Nope , no more foreign diddys please . But on that subject , there has been another declaration of the Glasgow 1-7 . Originally out was to go R/R and Lee Smart , to be replaced by Rusty Harrison and Ben Taylor . However , following yesterday's debacle Ben Taylor will not now be joining us , out also goes our latest foreign dumpling Robin Tornqvist . Rusty is still joining us , r/r gets a reprieve and it's a welcome return to Lee Dicken . So subject to BSPA approval , as we've been cheating to get our averages down but don't tell anybody , the Tigers should line up like this at Redcar - 1 Shane Parker 2 R/R 3 Rusty Harrison 4 Josh Grajczonek 5 James Grieves 6 Mitchell Davey 7 Lee Dicken

Leaving aside the team changes, what are the thoughts on Rymel's exclusion for "delaying the start"? I'm all for it, to be honest. And I wish Golem Flint had exercised that option in the Berwick versus Sheffield meeting - it is the responsibility of the rider to follow the instructions of the Start Marshal, it is not the responsibility of the Start Marshal to wander 10 metres down the track to ask a rider if he wouldn't mind coming to the start line. That's what happened with the Bogmeister in Ht 2 - he should've been excluded.

I think the exclusion was correct Sub. However the manor the ref went about it was totally wrong. He shouldnt of let the tapes up as if the race was continuing. He should of put the red lights on immediately then the green exclusion light.
Rymel was bang out. The starting marshall quite clearly told him ... move!. Rymel moved back, did a bit of digging then moved right back into the same place again! he did it 3 times. By this time the starting marshall had point to him and looked up to the ref. So the exclusion was correct.
I dont want to get into the crash and Rymels actions on track. But I would however like to comment on his behaviour after the meeting on the parade. Smiling and joking with Denham as if he did nothing wrong. Totally unprofessional from Adrian and indeed Denham when his team mate was lying in an Ambulance seriously hurt because of his desperate lunge. He has went down in my esteem big time. Always liked him as a guy and as a rider and ive wanted him in the Tigers racejacket many times.

I'm all for more stringent adherence to the rules. The two minute rule is often not inforced with the rigour required. I'm sure we've all heard the "less than 30 seconds" followed by five minutes at the starting gate.

Agree with you,our other two Czechs mess around at the start especially Makovsky and it wouldnt do any harm for him to excluded a time or two.It also annoys me when a rider is on 2mins and they come out of the pits with 30secs to go,arrive at the start only to then start their gardening.

I will let my full feelings be known here Paulco, away from the prying eyes of the BSF and ET. I am absolutely fucking disgusted with this move tbh. For two reasons. 1) Robin Tornqvist was hardly given a chance. Ok we dont know the full story ... maybe Robin himself wanted to leave. But the likely hood is, he was asked to leave. As I have said on the BSF, Anders was given half a season to settle, josh and mitch a full season. Even PJL got 11 matches. So why should Robin of been any different? 2) It leaves space for the hapless, injury prone, deceiving, conniving arsehole that is Ross Brady to come back into the team. How many chances is this grade A prick going to get? Not once in his period of absence has he showed face at Ashfield or given any support to the lads. Or as I now know ... he hasnt even got in touch with promotion through fonecalls. How the fuck can Anders Andersen fly over from Denmark for a few days each time to catch up with lads, show his support for the team and talk with the fans. But Brady who stays in Broxburn cant be arsed to show up? Its quite clear that the new crop of Tigers lads wear their heart on their sleave and fly their colours with pride as Anders is showing and Mitchell yesterday with his heroic effort running around the track. I personally hope he nevers wears our racejacket ever again!!! Back onto subject ... the team does look more solid through out now. Which should see us good at home. Still going to be suspect away ... but with the way points structure is now. It shouldnt do us too much harm. Welcome back to the stripes Lee. Another guy who is Red and White through and through! I think things had got to desperation stakes though VH . Tornqvist had shown next to nothing in his three meetings , and him scoring zeros and us losing on a regular basis was not on . I know three meetings wasn't a lot of time , but to be honest we couldn't carry a passenger anymore . I agree with everything you say about Brady though .

Makovsky's tactics at the starting gate are often shameful, especially his more than occasional drift into an opponents starting grid. He used to do that to James Wright every time the barbarians visited the cruel, crazy town and each time it led to Wright almost having a nervous breakdown. Actually, that was funny. He did it against Bunyan in Ht 15 when Stoke were at Berwick earlier in the season - Bunyan took no notice and won the race easily. But it really should be stamped out. Except when members of the Wright family visit, because then it's a lot of fun.

I can't see how Tigers can redeclare a team with an injured rider in it

I can't see how Tigers can redeclare a team with an injured rider in it ML - they haven't put Ross Brady back into the side - he was in it all along. As I've pointed out on the BSF, the BSPA office is not open on a Sunday, so Glasgow's original plans, before the home defeat to Workington, would not have been submitted. If you're saying that R/R is overused in British Speedway, I would agree with you. But don't shout too loud, ML, because those in glass houses and all that...

Was that meant to be funny? My mistake as I thought Glasgow had re-delared their first set of changes. If they didn't then fair enough but it's still appalling to treat riders like that. Glasgow are panicking pure and simple.
