When will Morton realise that Ostergaard is on a hiding to nothing riding at 5. Heat 9 was feckin awful from Ulrich there.
Mort talking bollocks in his interview with Greenie there. There is no way we're going to get close to losing by 6. We're shit out of the starts and when out in front we're getting passed with ease.

I hope that CVS now understands the folly of trashing the rules just so that he could have Chris Kerr in his side - super example from Kerr of how to go from first to last in a race.

I'm loving Patrick Hougaard He really is a star in the making. Unfortunately he tailed off at the end of last year - possible due to the extra meetings, but he seems to be back to form now. He's a regular double figure scorer in Denmark.

Agree with you there Sub. If Jonasson doesn't start replacing Boxall soon, the Aces management will begin to look like prize morons, as it will be obvious that Jonasson isn't really a "double-uper" at all.

WTF is that team talk about.
It should be Morton saying "Kasprzak you're shit if you don't gate. Wrighty you're just shit full stop. Henning thanks for your efforts but tonight you've been pants. Charlie, show folk you ain't a one track pony. Ulrich, sorry mate but I am so bad as a team manager I'm gonna leave you at 5 where you look bad. Steve, stick to the Premier League son. Patrick, thank fuck you turned up"

Really hate to say it as I like him a lot, but Gjedde can do so much better, he's just not making it work lately.

If you listen to the people in the know at Belle Vue (or should that be the fans who brownose with the management) then Jonasson has been signed to ride in 3 meetings only.

I said all along (check the Edinburgh 2009 thread) that Jonasson was only worth having as a dedicated rider. I wouldn't have had him as a "double uper" - if he has been signed for just 3 meetings it's gross stupidity on the part of the Aces. Get rid and sign someone else.

Credit to Morton in his pre heat 15 interview. Rather than making excuses, admits there have been poor performances from Belle Vue tonight. I count 6 poor performances from the Aces, only Hougaard can hold his head up.
Kasprzak been ok but got lost in the first and second bends when out in front.

Really poor showing from Belle Vue tonight. 5 points between 4 riders will win you feck all. Ostergaard (and apologies for repeating myself) needs to be at 3 or 4. Gjedde needs to sort himself out as he nowhere near the rider he was last season (perhaps the cushion of Crump has had an effect). Wright was piss poor and will be at reserve before long. Bager had an off night but he's done a sterling job replacing Forsberg. Boxall was pants and needs to concentrate on his PL racing otherwise he could find himself without a club. Hougaard, again, the only one to come away with any credit. He'll be in the main team once the averages comes out which will weaken us further as he'll then only be able to have 5 rides max.
Work to be done at Belle Vue but all credit to Wolves.

Dont beat yourself up too much Youngy, 'the Wovles' are a decent looking side on paper and when they convert that to the track they will be tough to beat, particularly at home. It will be a hard season for your boys but you'll have your moments.

Morton is so inept managing team I seriously think I could do better. I can see what's wrong with the team so why can't he?

I thought Belle Vue looked a reasonable team ahead of the season. But there is always one team that I think look rather good that end up being dreadful. It's usually Wolverhampton, but this year it looks like being Belle Vue. The promotion don't help and nor does the mismanagement of Chris Morton. It's weird. Look at last week's match up on Sky, for example:
Jon Cook = embarrassing rider; good manager. Chris Morton = good, almost great, rider; embarrassing manager.
And it's no good saying he's just "learning his trade". He was team manager for Berwick during the Terry Lindon era and he was hopeless then as well. He used to just run around in a suit trying to look important. Managing a speedway team isn't quantum physics, so how can Morton get it so wrong so often? The rest of the promotion don't appear very clever either. They signed a "doubling up" rider who they don't seem to have any call on other than for a set number of fixtures, pre-determined before the season started. If they all fall victim to the weather, the Aces' fans might never see the rider whose signing got them all dribbling and drooling. And all they're left with is a rider coming back from injury whose confidence looks shot to pieces in the Premier League, never mind the Elite League. Shambles, comes to mind when one thinks of Belle Vue these days, sad to say. Still, "head down, arse up" as "Wuffy, Wuffy, Wuffy" might say. And such is "Wuffy's" standing with the Sky types that they don't even feel the need to apologise for any little "naughty words" that might trip off his - apparently - pierced tongue.
