Let the screaming commence. Yes, it's the start of a new speedway season on Sky Sports, where no doubt the imbecile will scream and Tatum MBE will waffle inanely. And the opening meeting sees defending Elite League champions Poole take on this season's title favourites Swindon. It's been a bad start to the season for the Pirates, with injuries to crucial second string Jason Doyle and key reserve Kyle Legault leaving the Pirates looking extremely vulnerable. Add to that Bjarne Pedersen's traditional slow start to the season and the Pirates would appear to face an uphill battle against the Robins. And as if all that wasn't enough, SCB over at the BSF seems to have issues with Richard Hall guesting for the Wimborne Road club in this fixture. In contrast, all is going well for Swindon, so far. And pairing Travis McGowan with the incomparible Leigh Adams should work wonders for McGowan, who always seems to ride better when paired with a class act. Add to those two the gifted pair of Jurica Pavlic and Troy Batchelor and you get an idea of Swindon's potential. The Robins also have unSteady, Krzysztof Stojanowski and Ryan Fisher in their line-up. Well, you can't have things all your own way; not even when you're the BSPA's "Orange Dictator". I suspect we'll see an away win in this one.

I'm not entirely sure what that means, but Leigh's a team man, and if he gets the chance to shepherd round his partner he'll be happy to take the bonus point rather than the win.

Let the screaming commence. I've already had to turn it down. FFS speedway's very own Jonathan Pearce.

Maybe it's just me, but Swindon look embarrassingly bad.
