German Bundesliga:
No longer ridden as a four team tournament, and now consists of five teams, who meet each other only once. The top two teams at the end of the season will contest the final fight for the title on German National Day (3rd October), with the team finishing top earning the right to host the final.
Meetings are held over 14 heats, and in the event of a tie there will be a race-off between two riders - one nominated by each team's manager. Three points are given for winning the meeting, one for losing.
Riders are now categorised instead of using averages to determine team position.
Teams now consist of only five riders. Squad systems are employed, but in any one meeting the following criteria must be met:
1..A German junior (under 21) must form part of the team. 2..A maximum of two riders from each category - A, B and C can be used. 3..A maximum of two foreign riders can be used in one meeting.
If a team is 8 points or more behind, they can use a tactical joker to go for double points.
If a team is 6 points or more behind, they can use a tactical reserve ride, whereby a rider from a lower category can replace an under-performing higher categorised rider. Each rider can only be used once as a tactical reserve per meeting.

This was posted on the unofficial Ippo site today, anyone know if there is any truth in this post: Everyone seems to be assuming that teams will be able to strengthen to 42 points at some time during the season.
As of last Wednesday (6th May), no supplementary regulation has yet been issued regarding any new team total (source: Speedway Control Bureau). Therefore, at the moment, it's still 39.9. Now I know he is not SCB(shaun) but I have no reason to doubt his post, and we all know that Fat Maud sometimes get's things wrong.

A supplementary regulation needs to be issued ahead of the points limit being raised. This is stated in the rules: 17.4.5 Elite League
A Team’s Declaration (see also SR 13.1.4) must not exceed 39.90 points nor when re-declared (permanent or temporary), except that a Team may exceed this limit if the CMA of the introduced Rider is equal to, or lower than the Rider being replaced. An SR may be issued regarding the maximum Points Limit that will apply when a Team is subject to the new 2009 CMA’s.Taken from: www.acu.org.uk/uploaded/documents/TheSPEEDWAY_REGULATIONS_2009.pdfAs to whether one has been issued or not, I don't know. Maybe if the BSPA MC feel that one or more promotions have been playing games they won't up the limit via a supplementary regulation?

I don't like this word "may". Sounds like it could, if they can be arsed, but it might just be brought in with no official warning. It's another part which is open to interpretation.
