I take it that was because he signed for a team that raced on a Sunday in Britain,or was it because he was`nt good enough to get a team place in Poland?

I think a combination of events. He was about to end as a junior and I believe that he saw greater opportunities in the UK for him than being a senior in Poland. With the Polish restrictions on foreign riders being abolished he'd have struggled to make an impression, so he was willing to sign for a Sunday club in the UK.

I hope he let Edinburgh know of this before he signed up as it was after the fixtures were released. Will be interesting to see who has first call on him in the event of a clash of dates.

There's no agreement between Britain and Poland regarding fixtures, so it's just a matter of time before Rajkowski is in hot water. Riders competing in Poland should not be allowed to ride in the Premier League. Edinburgh would be sensible in releasing him now and bringing in an alternative rider. Or Paulco will delight in the fact that the Monarchs will now have TWO invisible riders.

Riders competing in Poland should not be allowed to ride in the Premier League. So, let's make a list, shall we? These are riders currently signed to clubs in the Polish leagues and Premier League clubs: Simon Walker - Rawicz Casper Wortmann - Rawicz Adrian Rymel - Miskolc Emil Kramer - Lodz Robert Ksiezak - Opole Marek Mroz - Opole Josef Franc - Krosno Cory Gathercole - Pila Benji Compton - Pila Michal Rajkowski - Pila David Howe - Lublin Richard Hall - Lublin William Lawson - Lublin Lee Complin - Lublin Simon Lambert - Lublin Adam Roynon - Rzeszow Kevin Doolan - Tarnow Steve Boxall - Tarnow Peter Juul Larsen - Tarnow Josh Grajczonek - Ostrow Anders Andersen - Poznan Darcy Ward - Torun Richard Sweetman - Leszno Ludvig Lindgren - Zielona Gora Thomas H Jonasson - Gorzow Josh Auty - Gdansk Note: The Lublin riders will, of course, all be under the guidance of the Weirdity, which ought to improve them hugely.

Otherwise they can fuck off out of British Speedway.

So, in the space of an afternoon you've changed your mind? What are you, a woman? Don't be obtuse. I haven't changed my mind. I still don't think riders in the Premier League should also compete in Poland. But seeing that many of them are doing both, they'd better put Britain first or I'll be angry and you won't like me when I'm angry

There's no agreement between Britain and Poland regarding fixtures, so it's just a matter of time before Rajkowski is in hot water. Not necessarily. I'd imagine that John Campbell ensured that all Edinburgh's Sunday commitments fall on days when Poland is inactive. That would primarily be with Thomas H Jonasson in mind, but it should work for Rajkowski as well. As for any fixtures changes, whether forced on Edinburgh or the Polish clubs involved, well, Rajkowski has shown admirable loyalty to his British employers thus far, but they were his only speedway employers. But, as far as I'm aware, Rajkowski continues to ride on a Polish licence, which would leave him in an uncomfortable position if there was a clash.

At some point in the season, there is likely to be a clash, no matter how clever Edinburgh are in arranging their fixtures. As the rules stand regarding PL riders (I believe there's a 12-month ban for riders choosing a Polish fixture over a PL fixture), it's very difficult for riders to compete in both Poland and the Premier League - especially Poles. I doubt if the SVEMO agreement can be dragged as an excuse this time as it somehow was when THJ rode in Poland and missed an Edinburgh fixture.
