One has to admire whoever it is who negotiates transfers at Arsenal, they manage to sign Arsharvin for around the same amount as their nearest rivals paid for Bent.

Arsenal are a well run club, their local rivals are a bit of a shambles. Spurs under Levy think that if you pay more you get a better player. Arsenal might value a player at £8 million, Spurs would offer £15 million in the belief that offering more would make him a better player. It's a bit of an ego trip for Levy in reality. And Arsenal have Arsene Wenger.

In a league of teams clueless in the transfer market, Tottenham are clearly among the best Sub, how many more players will they sell before realizing their worth, crazy thing is i believe Torres is the only striker in the top flight better than Pavlyuchenko, who will undoubtably leave and go onto much better things. The Spurs are clueless

Spurs have been a shambles ever since Scholar ousted the Richardson family all those years ago. Not quite as much of a shambles as Newcastle United, of course. But they're not far behind the Tyneside giants. Spurs are actually named after a famous "Geordie" - Sir Henry Percy, known as "Hotspur". The Percy family's (Dukes of Northumberland) old London residence Northumberland House wasn't far from White Hart Lane, until it burnt down.

Spurs not as daft as Liverpool though as they made an 8 million quid profit on Robbie Keane for the 6 months he spent at Anfield .
