And Darcy Ward could be set of a baptism of fire, as he heads off to Poland on Friday and the prospect of riding in the Pomeranian derby between Torun and neighbours Bydgoszcz: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/04/16/przed-derbami-pomorza/Ward will train with the squad on Saturday and then a decision will be made on whether he'll be in the Torun team that travels the short distance to Bydgoszcz on Sunday.

They'll have him. Maybe not Jonas, he's had a poor start on these shores and in Poland.
The debutant never succeeds on the Polonia track.

Maybe, but will Tomasz Chrzanowski, Jonas Davidsson and Krzysztof Buczkowski? It will certainly be a hell of a test for a 16 year old to be thrown into the cauldron of the Pomorza derby. If he is put in the team it will be fascinating to see how he gets on. I'd back him to struggle I'm afraid against the main members of the team - and heat 1 isn't exactly easy with King Emil in the race. Sunday is a feast of derby speedway Polish style for those fortunate to have signed up for the coverage with Bydgoszcz v Torun and Leszno v Zielona Gora on after. Sadly I think I'll be out and about during the first match but may catch some of it assuming it's on my mate justin's tv Rico

Seems a bit much for a 16 year old. Most 16 year olds sleep till lunch time and don't do much for the rest of the day. Good luck to him. Can't wait to see him on TV on Tuesday and hope to see him live, the first chance I can.
