Hmm pedersen is the definition of unsportsmanlike. Who's your idea of a sportsman then? Because as far as I can see, you're acting like a spoilt brat tonight. Now who else has been accused of that? nah just winding up the nicki fan boi's Tbh it was odd decision but Nicki has done that same trick plenty of times and now he complains when its done to him, tough.

But that is the main problem the referees takes a decision that is based/affected by their opinions about the riders involved and what the riders have done before. It must always be that specific situation and nothing else that the referee should base the decision on. But i also think that both Nicki and Emil and Nicki are quite hotheaded and when they are racing each other neither of them wants to back off and then these situations happen. I hope that they will cool down just a little because if they dont either of them will end up with a serious injury.

I think what Pedersen experienced tonight is called Karma. May 2008, Leszno Semi final Crump (I'm sure it was him) excluded and Nicki awarded the 2nd place in the final. Pretty much exactly the same incident tonight. I didn't see Nicki complaining that night. Rico

I didn't see Nicki complaining that night. Yep.... A certain Dane that we both know was well wound up about tonight's decision and I asked him about Leszno last year....He said that was a 50/50 but didn't think tonight's was! I have to say that my first impression was that Emil played the ref and got his way, but having watched it more, I am not so sure now. Emil knew he didn't have the speed after his tight line out the previous turn and was looking for Nicki coming past down the straight. He clearly shuts off very early to let Nicki go past and take a normal line into the turn, as he surely knew that Nicki was gonna drift out and Emil had already proved he was the King of the inside line... Nicki then went deeper into the turn than he did normally (presumably cos he knew Emil was the King of the inside line) forcing Emil out wide, and Emil was left with no option but to try and take the turn or be forced right out of the race.... Did Emil need to turn at that point? No. He could have kept going and found himself back in last, so he tried to turn and got clipped by Nicki's back wheel. Did Nicki need to change his normal line to force Emil wider? No. He could have raced the track rather than the man.... IMHO, the ref was in a no win situation. Whichever way he went, someone was gonna be harshly excluded. However, as Rico points out, Nicki wasn't exactly jumping around complaining when a similar incident went in his favour last year!

I have to say this was the best GP in ages. Really, really entertaining and gating was virtually of no importance as leads were clawed back and interchanged all the time! Now that was speedway. And how good doesn't Emil look already But was that the Australian anthem playing with Sajfutdinov atop the podium? Now that's an unforgivable mistake. EDIT: I have now learnt it was the Russian anthem they used for a couple of years after the break-up of the USSR. Still, just as wrong.

He did, Harry, and now Getingarna. I'm actually feeling really sorry for Scott. To be fair I have always supported Getingarna, since I was little. It's just that they haven't been doing much since they were relegated in 1994.

No, it wasn't speedway for the purest at all, there was only overtaking because riders were getting into trouble. Artificial excitement that people see straight through - the world's best riders shouldn't be made to look like amateurs. PROPER racing is what we saw recently at the mighty Scunthorpe. Last night was a total sham.

Nicki's temper tantrum has taken the attention away from another of last night's major talking points - the continued eclipse of the two British riders. Harris and Nicholls are now 15th and 17th in the standings - both behind one of the wildcard riders (Lindback) whilst Nicholls is also behind a second wildcard rider (Hampel). How shameful.

Why do you keep beating the same drum ? are you needing to feel loved and using Nicholls incompetence as a cheap target to get members to concur with one of your posts ? Nicholls is not of GP standard, and all of us on here know it, we all also know his absence from the elite has made his performances even worse. Lindback and Hampel are genuine world class riders, thats why they are above him. Nicholls is almost certainly in his last ever GP season, and is no longer worthy of one of a place in Team Englands world cup side, so why dont you leave the poor lad alone, i'm sure his life is miserable enough at the moment without people like you sticking the boot in. If you feel the need vent your anger, why dont you visit the local hospital and laugh at some ill people, or go out and torture some animals.

Nicholls is not of GP standard Well you've changed your tune. Weren't you telling us before the season how Nicholls was amongst the best 15 riders in the world. As usual, Hatcham, it's been proved that you don't have a clue what you're talking about. ;D

Never ever ever have i over-rated the performances and abilities of Nicholls, i just fail to see why someones misfortune should cause such pleasure to other people, however its become increasingly clear that you just want to be like Subedei, the problem is Sub has his own unique style, is very good at it and has the courage of his convictions, you dont. I see latest in your firing line is Ipswich and their track, but its all bluff and bluster with you as if you were to bump into Badge you would shit your pants.

Hatcham, it was you who backed out of us meeting at Lakeside earlier in the year, not me. I'll happily meet up with anyone on this forum.
