I think the SGP is actually in a bit of trouble, and BSI are scraping around for venues that won't lose them money. I agree. And I can't help but wonder what the top brass of IMG think of the asset they bought at the height of the bubble. I wonder how long SGP and SWC will remain in the IMG portfolio?

Someone who gets the speedway star may be able to answer both of those points, as I think Mr Bellamy referred to them in the interview with him last week...although I only had a quick glance at it when in a household that had the edition, so may just have imagined it all. It looks I may have been mistaken with regard to the Super Prix, which it appears is going to continue in 2009, although it looks like it's going to be massively scaled down: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/02/23/zmiana-zasad-super-prix/No $200,000 pot at the end of the Super Prix rainbow this season, just a doubling of the normal prize money for winning a Grand Prix.

Torun have moved a step closer to hosting a GP in 2011 after the town council allocated 3.5 million kroner towards the cost of holding the competition in their new stadium.

Oh dear. Having 3 GPs in one country devalues the series - a big mistake.

I realise that if it was up to Sube, Rico and yourself you'd have the whole fucking series in Poland. BUT...... Hatcham - the Polish tracks are always prepared super slick for GP rounds. Leszno was not a good GP this year. We'll see what Bydgoszcz is like a week on Saturday. Apart from one glorious GP in 2006 (Gollob only finished third in that one, but was amazing), when I was lucky enough to be there, most of the recent Bydgoszcz Grand Prix rounds have been borefests. So another boring GP on a slick Polish track next year - I'm not filled with joy over that news.

They are either produced super slick by Olsen or have all the dirt removed but the ridiculous over use on practice day. The solution is therefore fairly straightforward.

So does this mean we are having 12 GP's next year, or will we lose one of the venues from this year?? Crazy, unless this is the only way they can get a Polish World Champ of course.

Paul Bellamy says it's likely there will be 11 rounds next year, with three in Poland, but a final decision will be made in a fortnight.

Why does Poland have 2 just now and have had and may have again 3 of the GPs? surely there is other places that a GP can be taken Its a mystery to me why they dont have all 11. They may well - Gdansk have put in a bid for 2012.
