Have you seen any reports of it continuing? The "richest minute in motorsports" has been well-publicised in previous years, but nothing on it this year, that I've seen. BSI promote the Cardiff GP, they promote most of the GPs in the flash stadia with their abortions for tracks, but they prefer to share the burden with local organisors. I suspect that Britain could get a second GP if someone was willing to promote it, unless they believe it will adversely affect attendances at Cardiff. Someone who gets the speedway star may be able to answer both of those points, as I think Mr Bellamy referred to them in the interview with him last week...although I only had a quick glance at it when in a household that had the edition, so may just have imagined it all. However, I thought that he made reference to the Super Prix running in 2009 and also suggested that running a 2nd GB GP wasn't an option they would consider until Cardiff was playing to a full house.

I'm always willing to be proved wrong, although frankly I don't see the point of the "Super Prix" and there aren't even four rounds held on temporary tracks to gain a quorum for the "final", unless it's going to be the three winners and the top placed rider in the standings not to have qualified (which it ended up being in 2008).

Cardiff cant sell out the tickets for the rear seats ar way too much for what you actually get to see. Which from the top of the Millenium stadium is probably something like ants racing. I have been to the top of Celtic Park the view from up there isnt the best. I think if the tickets were dropped in price for the furthest back seats we would get more people filling them.

Cardiff will never play to a full house. The attendance this season might be up, albeit due to people using their "complimentary" ticket for the Gelsenkirchen fiasco. I think the GPs are losing their appeal and will implode.

I think the reason for the falling interest is the lack of variety. Riders need to have reason to be pushed. Scott knew he was getting back into the GP series if he finished top 8 or not. As i suggested before a rider that finishes out of the top 8 (or what ever the number is decided upon) these riders should be "suspended" from the next seasons series and would have to qualify for the one after that. this would ensure tougher racing and would give new faces a good chance to get into the series.

To be honest, I think the view that you get on the top tier, even the very back of it, is far superior to what you get on the bottom deck. The seats down there are terrible for watching speedway.

To be honest the top tier at the front is probably the best plac but only to a certain point after that its a complete waste of money.
Mind you im usually bottom tier half way back. Which has a fairly good view

We stayed at the Marriot St.Pierre Park last year, and have booked already for this year. It is not in Cardiff - but in Chepstow 22 miles away ! Perfect for us who like the peace and quiet of the countryside !

For myself I was fortunate enough to be in the VIP section (with a great view ), but my husband and children were up in the Gods in the very cheapest seats! They were right towards the back of the top tier in amongst all the Poles, but they had a great view, and would happily sit there again. Tbh I don't think there are many bad places to sit, although I would prefer not be on a bend....

Well its only noisy if your silly enough to stay in the city lol.
I really dont think i would want to be too high. Mind you last year i was that close to the tapes that i felt the heat off the flamethrower thing everytime a heat ended lol.
I have also been on a bend and i agree i will never go back to that. you get a terrible view at best of who is leading or who won the heat etc.

surely there is other places that a GP can be taken I don't think there are (m)any other places that are prepared to either host a GP, or where it would be a financial success if BSI organised it. I think the SGP is actually in a bit of trouble, and BSI are scraping around for venues that won't lose them money. There are basically only four countries that can really support a GP in a sizeable stadium. All this talk of going to weird and wonderful places is just idle chatter to keep interest in series. Look at the disaster that was Germany, and that's one of the major 'fringe' speedway countries.
