From Scunny site:
Despite there being only 23 days left in the season the Lincs FM Scunthorpe Scorpions are being forced to delay the running of the Knockout Cup Final against Plymouth. This means there will be no meeting at the Scunthorpe Raceway next week and as yet no date has been agreed between the two clubs.
Scunthorpe Speedway apologises for the situation but sadly it has been taken out of their control. When asked about the situation club Chairman Rob Godfrey couldn’t hide his astonishment at the decision “We offered Plymouth both Saturday and Sunday next weekend but they have refused to come. It seems bizarre that Boston were forced to run within seven days yet with the end of the season looming a team is allowed to do this. At the moment I am still working on fitting our remaining fixtures in and announcements will be made soon. Hopefully we will have meetings on Sunday 21st and Sunday 28th and hopefully we can fit in one more before the end of the month. Once again I can only apologise for the situation”.
Apparently the dates Plymouth want for the final are Friday 19th and Sunday 21st. HOWEVER, the 21st is a reserved date for both Oxford and Scunthorpe for the play-off final and holding a leg of the KO Cup Final on this date will cause major, major headaches regarding fixtures.
I'm not sure what Plymouth are up to, because it's come to light from a posting by Malcolm Vasey from Boston that the Boston vs Scunthorpe KO Cup semi-final match that ended up taking up place at Scunthorpe was down to Plymouth's insistence to get the semi-finals completed.
Hopefully Mr. Morrish will foce Plymouth to travel to Scunny on either Saturday or Sunday, for the sake of the Conference League, otherwise one rain off and the play-offs will not be completed.
