Interesting comments from Lewis Hamilton on the unveiling of this years McClaren, about how it has been good to see it come to fruition over the last 18 months, from Ferrari,s drawing board ;D,to construction and testing in the wind tunnel, and finally to ontrack. McClaren? Has Ron Dennis signed the former England Manager then?

Looks like Fisichella will take the final spot, while Ron Dennis insists he won't retire or be forced out.

So whilst Lewis Hamilton pens a five-year deal with McLaren, it seems the Schumacher name is now lost to F1, after Ralf was left without a race seat. It's possible he might try his hand in the DTM with Mercedes.

Will interesting to see if Lewis can overhaul Senna's record of 35 wins in the McLaren - not that it would make him a better driver than the uncomparable Senna, though.

A bit off topic (by about 15 years!) but the reason given for Riccardo Patrese's retirement from the 1993 Canadian GP was "physical." Does anyone know any more details than that?

Thoroughly looking forward to this year, although it could be quite a boring season at the front as ferrari have got it sorted big time over the rest of em. I was dissapointesd with the Force India car as I thought the testing livery was far better, than the official one.
Honda are slow! real slow! However seeing as they have been muddling along since 04 and not understading why their car was fast or a dog its not surprising that Brawn has come in and stripped it down to the bare minimum, so from last year and this years starting point they can only get better, I feel sorry for Jenson as he is driving fantastically well however the car is just no where near the front end of the queue.
It will be interesting to see how Lewis goes with a bit of pressure, everything was new and he was the rookie last year but Mclaren will expect him to do things now.
The Beemer also looks a bit shaky with heidfeld complaining about the balance of the car which if anywhere near as Bad as the problem Honda sufferee lat year they are in for a tough one.
Williams look as though they have once again built a tidy car, however unless they can continue to develop it throughout the season then they will be struggling by mid season, they will however once again embarass the full works Toyota team, personally I expect the full works to be disbanded within 2 years and they join forces with Williams, as this would save a lot of money for Toyota and would improve their results.
Ferrari are the mutts nuts they have devised a new system or gone back to their previous system which is traction control in all but name. Watching them they are able to brake and more importantly put the power down when they like, In winter testing they have been at the very least 1/2 a second faster than anybody, come race day I think it will be over a second faster.
Massa has been busy deluding himself throughout winter making excuses for him not winning the title last year and saying he can win it this year however for me I cant see no nother perosn winning it but Kimi. He has been in senstational form since Silverstone last year, btw while at Silverstone last year I was watching friday practice and had a bet with my friend that Kimi would win, I was that confident I allowed to him have all the other drivers in the bet, I also said that he would win that years title.
