My favourite race of the season simply because it's different and there's always the chance that someone completely unexpected will win.
News this week is that the teams have hired spies to keep a look-out for Mosley during the weekend so they can avoid him - sounds like that's just some guy in a black trench-coat and shades lurking round corners and shouting "he's coming, he's coming" periodically.
Alonso's won the last two - can he make it three in a row?

there's always the chance that someone completely unexpected will win. If you are in the lead after the first lap at Monaco you will win, simple as that. Probably the most processsional track on the GP circuit, although it is good to see the track layout taking in all the streets.

While it is almost impossible to overtake at Monaco , there is a high drop-out rate as it is a hard circuit on man and machine . There have been numerous surprise results there - even David Squareheid has won there .

I wonder if, after the last two seasons, Ferrari will still remember the location of their car park. And lay off Squareheid

Alonso's won the last two - can he make it three in a row? In a word, no. I expect a McLaren 1-2 in this race.

Probably the most processsional track on the GP circuit, although it is good to see the track layout taking in all the streets. I walked around it a couple of months ago, and if we weren't for the backdrop, it would be a pretty rubbish track. It's actually quite short as well, although I hear there's a proposal to extend it using land they're reclaiming from the sea.

Qualifying
Big accident for David Coulthard when his Red Bull crashed into the barrier coming out of the tunnel. He was in the top ten at the time, but his car was undriveable so he wasn’t able to take his place in the final shoot-out. A Ferrari 1-2 in Monaco.
1..F Massa 2..K Raikkonen 3..L Hamilton 4..H Kovalainen 5..R Kubica 6..N Rosberg 7..F Alonso 8..J Trulli 9..M Webber 10..D Coulthard

Boring Monaco qualifying, with no Ferraris (deliberately or otherwise) parking it.

Nasty crash for DC, great last lap from Massa to get the pole.

Actually an exciting race for a change, but Ferrari once again get away with shunting other drivers off the track.

Hardly Gollob-esque though, was it? Must be blinding coming out of that tunnel, and it was just after the restart with tyre and brake temperatures not up. Still, gutted for Sutil - I was cheering for him and Kubica.

Well there's nothing like a little bit of rain to make an exciting race.
Great win for Hamilton, absolutely gutted for Sutil, thankfully Räikkönen didn't get any points.

Very glad King Kimi didn't get any points today - I hope he is felling very sheepish and offers Sutil an apology. Meanwhile, is Hamilton now the best driver in F1? I think he could be. I still expect Raikkonen to be World Champion this year, though, he's got too much of a mechanical advantage at Ferrari.

Genghis, I sometimes wonder which planet you live on. Are you saying Kimi did that on purpose? Because by saying you're glad he didn't get any points it sounds like it to me.
As for the race, the first half was interesting, the second wasn't, but I'm always left a bit disappointed when a race doesn't go the full distance. Incidentally I think I've only seen that happen once before - possibly at Monaco again?
